In 86 spline count was the same between auto and manual (32 spline) and where only offered behind 1 auto (th400). You may need to get a shaft biult anyway because I do not belive that the 205 and 208 are the same lenght.

Yes they are from the chip trucks, they have a 15 degree clock to them. I was curious if anyone on here has done it, If they kept the dual alts? I will check out the 4btswaps page as well. I would love to put a 700r4 behind it but is gonna be hard to let the sweet aluminum trans pan for the 400...
I am asking what it is / how it works if it has two completly different effects on fluids. I am not saying it makes it better or worse for you to burn.

Carl- I have pourd it from the same bottle. Its the same fluid. It is marketed for the rear axle but we use it in trans's as well. I learned the trick from my first boss ( He was an Ex gm enginer who helped on the gm diesels) And new his sh!t. Lerned things from him I would never belived...
The modifier I am talking about is the same, I am asking what is it? If it neither increases or decreases friction, WTH is it? also how could it have an ill effect on the pump?
Sooo, Ford & gm have a friction modifier that is added to the rear axle of a limited slip diff to reduce chatter, so in theory it makes it more slick....right?
