It looks like I could make you a gauge pod for $48. The extra setup cost for loading the special roller dies into the press brake adds a little more than I was initially thinking.
I haven't messed with them yet but from what I've read most of the manifolds are mounted upside down so they could be the same as you're seeing just upside down.
Here is a good thread with lots of turbo installs of different configurations: M809 turbo installs
Here is a compilation of the...
I'd say about 5 years old or more. I remember seeing active Ebay listings for those about that long ago.
Edit: the tan 4x4 was from May 2013 according to their Facebook page.
One last add-on that I just finished (sorry it's not a video of jakes operating)
The reservoir tank lost its support bracket when the lift hook got removed for clearance so I finally got a new bracket made up to take its place. The new bracket is a slimmer, ambidextrous, 10 gauge version of...
It's a bit on the eccentric side, idea-wise but ultimately it will be mounted on the driver side with the ducts and hoses going through the rubber elbow / pipe that the intake air currently passes through. The actual air cleaner will be on the passenger side once the turbo is in place.
Not sure if you're asking Wes or I here, but for myself I'm not currently planning on adding an intercooler (but never say never). I do have the Cummins water-to-air aftercooler but I don't think it will fit under a stock M809 hood. Also, I already relocated my heater in preparation for a...
Yes, I've read and followed all the turbo threads and that's why i'm installing the pyro gauge before the turbo so I don't melt the pistons. I'm not looking for big power but enough to make up for larger tires when I get that far.
OK, I'll make you a gauge pod and anyone else that wants one like this - not sure on price just yet but shouldn't be too bad. From pictures I've seen the 939 trucks (if you want one for your 936) have slightly different defroster ducts so i'll have to get some measurements from you off of your...
Thank you! I'm going to install the thermocouple probe into the exhaust manifold soon to see just how hot my NA engine runs then I'll have to get a turbo to make the other needle move...
Here are some before and after pics of using a headlight "restoration" kit on my gauge lenses. I also replaced the faded DANGER decal with a larger one. The kit was basically wet sanding with 2000, 3000, then 5000 grit sandpaper and it removed the micro scratches and overall haze. To remove...
I haven't read of anyone doing this yet, but has anyone changed speedo cable gears to compensate for larger diameter tires? I did this on my highboy and the math is just a simple cross multiply & divide.
For example a 11.00-20 going to 16.00-20:
#original teeth/42" = #new teeth/53"
So if...
