I got rid of the previous owner's beer can shifter knob and fitted a WWII vintage pineapple grenade hull for my shift knob. (Much more comfy to shift now!) Took care of a couple small electrical issues and put a little more thought and mental preperation into the upcoming bob job.

I doubt the tank pump cover would leak unless it's been left loose, gasket removed, etc., but it's also covered by the bed unless you get some serious blowing rainstorms, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Any doubt? get a new gasket and make sure it's tight. Not too expensive but if finances...
This one actually made me get up, walk outside and look at my 72 KJ M35A2. True story! Unless you have some bad rust issues, I'd be willing to bet the water is sneaking in under the windshield possibly near or under the safari latches, through the gap between the windshield frame and dash panel...
It's funny you should mention that particular scenario. When I recovered my deuce, on the trip home we stopped in my old neighborhood to see some friends, take on fuel, and make some adjustments to the truck. As I got off the 405 freeway in Torrance at Redondo Beach Bl. there was a homeless vet...
Sunday the 9th of April found me, Brandy, Bella, and Missy in Gardena CA. visiting some old friends from my old neighborhood. Those first 2 pics were taken by my wife Brandy of my buddy Dan and I tightening the vibration-loostened stack clamp at the J-pipe.
The next 3 pics reflect my frustration...
The first 2 pics were taken by the previous owner and sent to me after I found this truck listed on craigslist with no pictures.
The following 4 pics were taken at a rest stop just south of Sacramento CA. on RTE 99 Southbound.
The last 3 my wife took as we whistled down RTE 99 South and getting...
OK, I'm gonna try to keep this as to-the-point as possible but here's my build thread for my soon-to-be bobbed deuce "Missy" A.K.A. "Corporal Punishment".
On The name: A few years ago, Stacy David started a project build 1941 Dodge military truck with 2 and 1/2 ton Rockwell axles and HUGE...
I've read from a few people that using ether (starting fluid) to get a multifuel started is a bad idea due to the high compression of this particular engine.
I made this discovery when I was recovering my 72 KJ M35A2 and ran out of fuel due to a less-than-truthful fuel gauge. (I know, never...
If you wanna stay 6X6, it would be a good investment to hook yourself up with either a hydraulic or air-assisted steering rig. Just about any deuce weather bobbed or full-size is gonna be hard to steer, but a full set of 10 tires on a deuce means you have 2 tires steering and 8 more that just...
Opportunity is BANGING on the door!
I'm with porky! A multifuel engine is a terrible thing to waste!
Why not just fix the trans, get a couple cabs, graft em together, throw on a 105 bed and build a crew cab and sell it for what you get into it! I'm pretty sure there's a few SS members that'll...
Saved the schematic on my laptop and I've almost got it burned into my brain. lol I had to run a hot lead from the battery to the main power switch. After finding my lift pump wasn't getting power, I ran a lead from the hot side of the starter button to the lift pump. Now when I hit the switch...
Come on now! Paint and tires are nice, but we wanna see the whole before/after thing. Every photo set should reflect the good, the bad, and the ugly!
I just recovered my M35A2 deuce 1 week ago, and due to getting over being sick for the last week and the sunburn I got during the ride home (deuce...
On the subject of insulation and sound deadening materials, I just recovered a 72 Jeep Kaiser M35A2 W/W and White Multifuel W/whistler Not only did ths truck have a verry nice shift boot, but she has some kind of jute backed, textured rubber material on the firewall inside the cab. Does anyone...
Nice looking bobber indeed! I plan to go that way with the M35A2 I just recovered last saturday night. That is as soon as I recover from the 3 day recovery. lol
Looks like your pics were taken sitting on a scale. What did she weigh in at?
