I ordered an overflow tank. Wow. What a mess. Got the steering wheel replaced. Had to literally grind it off. Got torch bottles on board, new winter boots in, cb is mounted on a RAM Mount. Borrowed Myothers Cummins decal idea. They look nice. Thanks. Got some bose ith headsets on the vic1. Still...
Im also in favor of the a3/a2 but with 395s. Ive found that for me, the best use of a 109 as a camper is to put the box on a trailer tho. Leaves the truck open for more than one use.
Just my taste
Battery switch terminals/wire number:
B=459
C=54
A=81
D=54
#54 to fuel solenoid
#81 to starter solenoid
#459 to pcb
#54 to switch ignition
Just happened to have the 20 open to the wiring diagram. Been having some troubles myself.
The truck i just sold ran 72mph and pulled an average 9.7mpg over a run of 150-ish miles of hills, city, and some flats on its way to its new home. When i had it, id run 50-60mph easy. Seemed to be happy there. I figured it up to be 12-13mpg.
Just a note on adding non-taxed fuels(ie motor oil...
I like the Cummins decal!
I didnt really do much. Got finishing touches on alot of stuff and took my 6 year old daughter to town for an icee in the wrecker. Guess all thats left is to put a new steering wheel on, install 12v step down with cb(try to hook it to the vic1 audio posts), and put in...
Its a square box, maybe 4" square behind the dash, to the right if the air pressure switch. Wire coming out of switch should go directly to it. I disconnect all of mine. Got an extra if you want it
Put in a deuce in/out valve to the forward/reverse poppets. Installed remote brake res kit. Stripped the dash. Cleaned and repainted it. Replaced all the gauges, lights, and a few data plates. Installed a brake warning light in the m35a3 style. Installed hmmwv high beam indicator. Made under...
Its the same as the early 818's. As for correct for yours, i dunno man. I got a hold of one of those panels, stocked it with new gauges, clear caps, and fresh paint for my deuce crewcab. Its different so its desirable in my book
Just camping trips? Ha! Some of us grew up in "the family car" that would fit that criteria. More gizmos and gadgets dont make it safer. Wonder how those people that are 80+ made it to be that old? Computerized vehicles with all the junk arent very old. People just rely on and trust their...
Up until recently, i had 2 m35's, a 109, and an 816. Im down to 1 m35 and 816. The 816 seldom goes down the road because of the cdl requirement and the extremely low fuel mileage. Since i now own a "farm"(by usda standards at least), im looking at farm tags simply to get around the cdl. However...
Funny, lots of advice here but the only advice on the legal matter that actually applies is to research your states laws. What works in one state doesnt in others.
I was really wanting a 923/925, still wouldnt mind but... when i really got down to the "what would i do with it that i couldnt...
I havent done much to mine. Repainted the cab interior, installed nice seats, installed a remote brake res, and installed a front axle in/out valve. Have to rearrange the vic1 now, wire up a 12v step down, fan, and a cb.
