OK I promise to get more photo's once the opportunity arrises.
Right now, to answer your question about stability, it is just two 3/4" plywood sheets bolted to make a fiberglass sandwich. A real 60 would shred that in minutes. The stability will come later when we basically make a roll...
lol
well the solid top is bolted on right now and the neighbors might not like the sight of a 60 on the street.
sorry I thought a couple was better than none.. :-D if you can wait till spring it will look a whole less 'bush style' and more milspec
M1009 gun truck/ rack photo's added
Pictures from our latest MILSIM op. so far it is make shift (had to get it done fast). Found a donor civi top at the scrap yard for $30. Will be "up armoring" it this winter and have more pictures up.
Sorry to resurrect an old thread here but I was just told that the front Ujoint(t-case to front axle) has some play. could be the joint and the yolk i am told. is there a part cross ref. for any of these parts? I live in Canada and it is a bit harder to 'go to the local surplus dealer' like...
not to mention the over-all length of them would make trail riding (or turning) damn near impossible. unless you make your own trail that is. they are, IMO, WAY too long. Man do those ever look intimidating though! they really seem beefy. I love those wheels/tires
its original is fluid actuated and threads in on the front side of the hydraulic res under the cab if I remember correctly . it is a 2 prong harness enclosed in a rubber sleeve. my original switch was brass in color and I found the how to in the TM on the old site .
if you find it change...
ok i have a few places in winnipeg i can check...might have to hit you up on that install help yet. I get by but am self taught...love the challenge though !
does my plan for using them sound right?
I was having the starter bolt breaking thing happen too. I had the bracket installed but it still happened. turned out where it was mounting to the chasis was stripped and after a few starts would loosen and snap the outside starter bolt.
I had a 6.2 expert also tell me that a possible...
I just did mine last year.. took about an hour. the power steering pump was the hardest one simply because there isn't much room down there to get a good tension on the belt and tighten it at the same time. see if a buddy can come over to help you with that one. one hold it with a bar while...
This part available anywhere or is it a Military part? sounds like the way to go after all especially cost wise...
and RGR my brake pack is a newer style but thats the reason I bought the DC DC converter mostly. I just wired up an 8 bus fuse panel giving me 8 12V splits. so here is my plan...
not many companies in those parts Al... helo's also rent typically for 950 hr with a pilot min 3 hrs (206 jetranger)
big old hueys run for 2000 hr in our area
not very cost effective considering travel time to your venue is on the clock
thanks mili the 2nd option sounds good and easy.. just retrofit a fuseblock and relay pack to that converter i guess and steal feeds from the devices to make a new trailer harness for the truck.
i dont know what a 7812 is but i worry the amps on the brakes might be high... although doesn't the...
alright seemed like a logical place to start but the leak baffled me.
if it was clogged at the filters would backlogged fuel pre filter find a way out?
when the truck heats up over some driving time it does a wierd bog down thing where the RPMs refuse to climb over 1800 or so. during this time there seems to be some fuel leakage on or around the fuel pump...it sprays on the inner wheel well .....
if ilet the truck sit for 15mins it usually...
good to have that harness explained
my question is there an answer to miltruck with civi trailer while keeping the trailer 12V'
i already have the 24-12V inverter which solves 12v brake controller but does not convert multiple functions like signal , brake , and running lights at once
