Still having lots of issues talking to my ABS. Inspect of the module itself and there was a lot of corrosion on it cleaned all the pins up and retried but still didn't work.
Unplug the ABS entirely but still getting that j 1587 fault code. Also I'm showing a PGN 65226 from ECU, but connecting to...
Pulled seats and storage out of the cab, found out MWME put inch bolts in the seat locations...and punched through the cab metal from too long of a bolt in one spot. Hopefully the metric threads aren't messed up.
Power washed the interior, threw a fan in to dry it out.
Next step is installing...
The capacitors in the LBCD next to the spare tire holding some charge. There's a note in the manual somewhere that when you do kill power with that switch, go in to the cab and turn the ignition on to drain the capacitors
If only someone would help with the software for msd/ice...so far I've had no luck finding it. I do have the IETMs though but that doesn't allow use of the various testing hardware

The truck didn't turn on the grid heater before startup (for the past month it has-40-50 deg). I tried starting and it cranked up better than...

The connection I have is all through the left knee connector. Not sure if he connector by the ABS is direct to it or if I even have an adapter for it.
Trying multiple solutions, various computers with serial adapters and built in serial ports. Have the same returns from software. Everything else works perfectly, abs is the outlier. Tried following the instructions for changing between 1708 and 1939 (power cycle) and same results.
Is abs...
When using my computer with the serial to USB adapter, I have to plug it into and out of the diagnostic port several times before it will establish connect. There are lots of serial to USB adapters of various quality too.
It did have a faster and more stable connection with my laptop with a...
I could, but there is no reason to remove the bolt. The clamp can be installed and removed with nut and screw in place, just loosened.
Yeah I was very careful about the false start/cross thread not sure what happened on this one, the other 5 did fine. Everything else went together great...
Probably would, he seems like a really nice guy. Problem is I tend to get really focused on a project and don't want to pause progress. It's also hitting 25° here tomorrow by afternoon so I'm trying to complete it before then.
