**** that hurts, don't it? Been there, done that.... Only not with a 5 ton spare tire holder. First time was just bending over to pick up a pencil... Knees... Its all in the knees....

Sooo, I test drove a deuce today..questions for the bobbers

^ useful response. I've never driven one and I have to agree. Every rig is going to be different. Remember, you're talking about trucks that run over 30+ years old on average. They will have their own quirks. Find a better one to test.

I blew the pictures up a little. It has plates! Darn Idaho plates blend in too well with that gray paint job...

    PNW Info Thread!

Maybe the tank will fall off at a scrap yard on the way home...? I wonder if its a 'Farm Truck' and can't be titled...? Email will only be asking... Idaho isn't that far away, this time of year...

How many people get incorrect titles?

I don't think GL messed up on my title, but my state DOL did. They put the model number in the VIN location. 9 months later, yeah, they said I needed to send them a digital copy of my data plate showing the correct VIN. The instructions were really funny. "Print out a digital copy" Um, once...

    m39a1?

Yep, that must be it. I let the guy know what he has, and hinted about steelsoldiers too. Nice looking truck. Way more than I want to spend on something that would be parked for 29 of 30 days a month. Or more. But then, it would be used to it, right?

    m39a1?

Hey, the guy sent me pictures! So, what did he pay for this, anyway? True naming convention for this truck? Just for confirmation. I know. It would have helped if he had sent a picture of the data plate.

    m39a1?

Looks like he won it, and then had buyers remorse: AKA "OMG look what I won! WHAT THE HECK AM I GONNA DO WITH IT?" Pickup, yeah, that's what I want to get. Maybe something that can handle a snow plow... Fun story. Some of you have seen my truck. Seen the winch, right? Got that because when I...

    m39a1?

I suppose the real question was, am I looking at what I think I'm looking at? Is it a conventional or a cabover design? A 5 ton is a little too much truck for my needs, or wants. I just thought the naming was weird as well. Yeah, I emailed the guy. No pictures yet... If I had that kind of...

    m39a1?

Well, if this is newer 5 ton, wouldn't it have air brakes, therefore needed a CDL? And being over a certain weight, also needing a CDL? I'm guessing it's newer because it has "ABS brakes air brakes new tires 39,000 miles power stearing Cummings deisel 250 HP" Yeah, copied right out of the...

    m39a1?

Either way, it sounds like it would be a neat truck to have. Bet ya need a CDL for it, right?

    m39a1?

Is this a true naming of a truck? Yeah, I found one on a site that sells all kinds of things. Local to me. I thought these were called something else, like FMTV or something like that.... Same animal? I Googled the name and found one, and it looks like a FMTV.

    Oregon M35A2

Sheesh. How did water get in there? Someone go river wading with that somewhere? J/K, of course... Nice to see that rig go somewhere before I could get to it... Almost had my kid talked into it...

What would you do for a Deuce

Do not show this post to my wife..... I would do almost anything in order to talk my wife into letting me get a deuce, Skydiving ain't one of them....

Anyone know what the heck this is..?

Looks like something for serving soup or stew. Insulated to keep it warm between the kitchen and the lines. I'll bet you can put boiling water between the food part and the outer layer to keep food hot. Nice looking. Yeah, how much? Heavy duty lunch box for someone not worried about their...
