Also, all the writing on the dash is in German. So I know this isn't a French Unimog, right? And isn't French the Swiss national language? Wouldn't the dash language be in French? Yes, this thread is all about educating the uneducated.

Pictures of the one in question are going to have to wait until next week. Either they sold it, someone got one heck of a Christmas present, or they took it inside to keep it from rolling away. And I'm leaving at O Dark 30 tomorrow for Indiana. BTW, there is one on eBay that looks real close...

I found a picture of a dash, with the rubber fillers where there are holes in the one I saw. The Unimog picture thread helped out a bunch. Now I need to go get pictures and hopefully a VIN before I leave for Indiana tomorrow...

My head hurts with all these pictures of the different variations of the Mog. Old ones. New ones. Funny looking ones. Poor rusty ones :( Makes me want to go and take another look at that one I saw a few towns over and give a real look over. And take pictures and get more data on it, hopefully.

I know of him. Maybe he might reply to this tread too. I guess I'm going to get an education in Unimogs... Or maybe aim someone to one that wants one...

I'll have to get those on Monday. Or try to, anyway... How can I tell the difference in models, just by looking? I thought there was just one.

So, what should a decent 1962 Unimog go for? Didn't get the miles off it. A local used car lot is selling one. I've seen some go for the upper teens to low 20's which is why I ask. Also, does anyone have a shot of a complete dash? This one is missing a couple gauges and I'd like to see what...

I'd have him pull it on a scale and give him what it's worth that way. BUt then, from the pictures, it still might be overpriced... Yeah, save the bucks for a real truck!

Well, I bought my trailer to use for hauling and such. Comes in real handy. Most items bought through GL are for not general use, I know. Its mostly for the "Look what I have!" thoughts. When I look through the auctions, I do think, "Now, what would I use that for?" and if I can't think of a...

So, tell me, other than these are 'new', why these are so neat? The ones that I've seen on auction seem to have lots of extra hardware on them that don't seem to have much use in the real world. Weightwise, the 02 seems lighter, but their bigger? Or is GL doing a bad job of listing them? Doing...
