Although, I do agree. I would at least, drive it around the lot for a bit to test a few things before hitting the road. Maybe thats one good thing about buying from someone that has already taken one home and done a little 'fix 'em up' on...

Yeah, SS Guys are always willing to help out. Wish I could, but I don't have anything to tow with and don't know enough about these to even turn a wrench yet.

You didn't actually tow it with the tarp on it, did you? It's just there for the picture, right?
I'm just thinking of all the other threads that say, if you're going to tow it empty, take the tarp off for less wind resistance.

I got mine from Eastern Surplus off of a scrap CUCV. I did pretty much the same thing. only because my 4 prong bit the dust a few years ago, I had it made to fit to a RV plug. But it is mounted onto the hitch plate.
So I would look around a scrap yard that deals with scrap MVs, you might find...
