So my wife and I took the M109 on a tour of sorts of Indiana this weekend. We drove two lane roads primarily, US40 from Springfield to Richmond, then down from Richmond via 27, 101, 1 and 46 to Batesville, Indiana for a shoot. We then drove back from Batesville via I74 to Cinncy, then up 42 to...
Well it looks like they need me first thing in the morning, seems they want to get headed out to their new place in VA ASAP. Good luck with the recovery.
Grounded, let me touch base with my moving friends and see exactly when they need me. If you are headed down to Berea area, and leave Defiance around 5, that puts you there around 11 or so? Then it's a couple hours back Cincinatti, right?
What's the time frame, as in when are you arriving etc? I've already taken Monday off, but I promised friends I would help them move their stuff out of their apartment. If your pickup is early AM, I could meet you in Cinncy off an exit somewhere, ride down for the recovery, and then just have...
We love the M109, it's a simple conversion to a camper, it's being used this weekend actually during one my shoots. We normally drive the back roads to our shoots, taking our time. We'll see how this weekend goes given the heat! A cargo is becoming a must at this point. We went to a smaller SUV...
Those 818s shocked me, bidding that far seemed pretty wild, but I guess it's still and excellent deal, they were nice trucks. Someone wanted something to bob I think.
So since they are over, I guess it's ok to talk. I ended up with the M814 and my first M105. The trailers went really, really cheap from what I saw, and most looked to be pretty nice. I've been wanting a cargo truck to go along with the 109, and when these 5 tons came up I couldn't resist...
I think this is the right place for this, and I've searched around a bit with no luck. I've seen a few aircraft refueling vehicles up on GL from time to time, and I was wondering what they might be used for. I suppose people with aircraft might have a need, but can they be put to any other use...
What's funny is Ohio told me the SF97 would work, but then GL said a Florida title would be better. Went round and round with them, apparently there's another truck with the same VIN on a Florida title. Given the shortness of my VIN, and it being a 1952 REO rebuild I guess I shouldn't be shocked.
Well I replaced the regulator, no luck, it wasn't it, there doesn't appear to be any output from the unit. The small wire going into the alternator reads 24.05V on my DMM, the main feed reads about the same. There's a small post if you will under the cap that reads 5.0V or so, it changed from...
David,
Are there any commercial bolt on alternatives out there? If it will get above freezing here I'll check the output on the wire as mentioned. I think I'm going to fuse the inverter at 60A to hopefully prevent this.
Bgekky,
I've done a few large amp installations, say 1000-1200 watt range, and I can't say we ever once ran it back to the battery. The starter, and other high draw devices in the deuce don't have a return on the ground, so I never thought they were necessary.
FMJ,
No, it's a 24V inverter, so it feed directly off the battery side, through a disconnect switch, and then to the inverter and is then grounded to the frame.
I drove a few hundred miles last weekend with the radiator cover on, with a partial open area, and she held 180 constantly during the trip, should it drop to 160F to start with, shouldn't the thermostat hold it near 180F constantly?
