Well she was running the entire time I had it on the inverter, with the alternator unhooked the voltage is a little less than 25V most of the time. I thought it should be around 28V unhooked, or else she's bad.
It's a nice piece, even looks to be 6x6, someone put many, many hours into that thing, that said I would love to buy one, assuming it doesn't cost as much as the real thing.
I took a look through some of the similar threads here, but can't find if this might be the true cause of my problems with my alternator.
My wife and I took the M109 down to Kentucky for the Thanksgiving weekend, it was a hit, we slept in the back of it, while connected to a 120V outlet outside...
I've talked to a few guys with prior service driving the Deuce and others and most admitted that when they drove the units in the field or in convoys where they could run at open speeds they did so with more or less reckless abandon, that is beyond the danger line, as fast as they could just to...
Good to see another Ohio member, I regularly shoot up in your direction at the Centerburg Conservation Club north of town. A good chance my M109 will be making a few trips up there this year for some of our shoots.
Not a bad idea Pappa, could look pretty cool I suppose. I'm definetely keeping the M109, she seems to be a good truck, the 5-ton would be in addition to, so I would have a large cargo bed for moving anything that needed moving.
Space isn't really an issue, I would like power steering to be sure. Any issues with titling them as a standard truck? The brake system is air over hydraulic, correct?
So I like my M109, and it's going to get it's first use as a camper over the Thanksgiving weekend, but I'm thinking I need a cargo bed Deuce or maybe a 5-ton. Why should I buy a 5-ton over a Deuce, any other advantages over weight carrying capability. It looks like some on GL are going for...
Well to be honest, and I know you all won't believe this, but my wonderful wife suggested it. She really didn't want the new couch to get wet, I was all for using the jeep, the 15' open trailer, and some tarps. When she suggested it I jumped at it! She even enjoyed the ride, she says it brings a...
So the wife and I made a trip down to IKEA in Cincinnatti for some furniture for the house in the M109A3. Good trip, truck ran well etc. On the way down on I-75 I saw a M36 headed north on a commerical tractor and trailer. Look very nice from what I could see, looked like a GL based on the...
So off to IKEA today with the M109A3 to get some furniture. I get up early to do my walk around and check everything out pretty well. So I decided to check my brake fluid this morning, I went about the regular routine of removing the small line to the top of the reservoir, remove the cap, fluid...
So there's a M54 dump truck down the road from me that's for sale. It's has a Mack engine, and it's served mot of it's life moving fallen trees and the like for the township. It's owned by a mulch company now. I talked to the owner, and he says it needs a new clutch, but other wise it work. The...
