You really are right down the road! Mines sitting right off 41 where you turn onto Lawrenceville Dr. You can't miss it, it's parked right in the drive way with the M332 trailer behind it. I should be around tonight working on a remodeling project at home after work.
Ernie,
Question about the idling, mine likes to idle right at 700 rpm, one of the documents I read suggested >800<1000 RPM for idle, but a later -10 suggests that >650<1000 RPM is ok.
Bob makes an excellent point, where should we put our tags? Mines strapped to my left tail right, and I rigged up a LED to light it, but it's all held on and together with zip ties, a fine piece of engineering it is not. :D
RE: rv
I'm in the middle of working on mine, so far I've completed the heating system, based on parts I got from Miltrucks and some custom modifications for temperature control etc. Next is framing it for the cabinets, beds and showers. I've got a diesel fueled oven in mine using a 60k heater...
I've watched a few of these auctions, the truck seems to be quicker to speed, have a better braking system, and the CTIS, but why do they go for 5 times the price of a nice M35A2?
Tommy,
I see how this works now! A little dense to start ;-) It would seem one of these would be far better than the fender mounted unit on the deuce, simply due to the fact that it will be reheating previously heated air, basically a recirculation, instead of heating freezing cold air from...
I think these still require coolant to provide the heat output. The 33k BTU unit for instance only draws 4.25A, this must be for fan energy only, as 4.25A at 24V will only give you around 300 BTU of resistive heat. They also mention they are tube and fin designs, which sounds like a water/air...
The trailers they are getting rid of seems to have little to do with reason. Mine had practically new tires, and it was in excellent shape, I don't really mind as long as they only cost $150.
RE: Invoice ready
My first took right at 15 days from my M109A3, my M332 trailer I picked up earlier this week took only 7 days. GL seems to prefer email communications and attachments scanned in at high res. It makes their job easier compared to faxes, and typically a quicker turn around time...
I looked at one over at northern tool, they do have an oxygen depletetion circuit, and I suppose I could run the exhuast fan on the deuce at the same time, and crack a window to make sure the oxygen stayed in good shape, but I would like it to run off diesel, why add another tank to it if it's...
Guys,
My M109 has no form of heat in the van body. I believe it once did, but it is no more. What should have been in there, and where could I purchase another one, or better yet, what is the best way to heat one of these?
