    Burma Jeep

Here is the possible parts source, I know it is within an hours or so drive, I just have to remember the right highway? The last two shots are of a truck I first tried to get, but the owner is just going to let it melt into the ground. It's been two years and I had given up looking but not...

    Burma Jeep

Papabear: Are you pretty sure on the dimensions, that extra two inches will be a problem. The guy has two new commercial tires for the truck, I may have to use them on the front and put the deuce tires on the rear, if I can't get them to air up for the load and unload process. As for parts I...

    Burma Jeep

Well I need to head over to the truck to spray a little SiliKroil on the some lug nuts, if the extra tire size doesn't put me over the 7 foot limit on the car hauler? But with four good tires on it I may be able to towbar it home? But, after sitting for 40 years the trailer may be the best...

    Burma Jeep

Just a shot in the dark, the tires on the GTB are 7.5x20, could I mount 9x20 on those wheels or better yet I wonder if I could just bolt on deuce wheels and tires? If the bolt pattern is the same this would be easy! I think it is a six lug wheel? James

    Burma Jeep

He took my offer, plus a hundred, so now I need to find a way to get it home! My car hauler has seven feet between wheel wells, I think if I pull the two rear tires it my just fit, at 7250 lbs it will be near the max on my car hauler and Armada, but it's only 26 miles and I have smooth little...

    Burma Jeep

The truck is really pretty solid, one rust through in the bed wheel well, a gin pole attachment to remove, the passenger seat is missing, front blackout lights missing, winch guard cut, tow hooks missing and windshield missing. But it was running when it was parked!!!! in the early 1970's. James

I made my weekly call to the local Dial-A-Trade radio show and had a hit! Guy said he had a Burma Ford truck. He has no idea on the price, I am thinking $500. James

    Tow Bar/M105 Recovery

My recovery of my beat M105 trailer and large towbar could have gone better! I got the Trailer and twobar for $191, I really just wanted the towbar for my wrecker. Called ahead and found out one trailer tire was toast. The GL folks were very helpful with the recovery( I take back "some" of...

    M101a2 racks and bows ?

They should just pull out, it goes a lot easier if you have two to pull the sides, but one can do it. If the trailer is a little beat up you may want to take a hammer and a short piece of 2x4 to tap the rails up. James PS: if they are fiberclass you want to take it easy on the tapping.

    M37 Recovery

Those aren't beans those are black eyed peas! And they look like they have been in the jar for a while! The truck also came with two fuel cans, electric powered drum pump, pliers, a pile of sockets and small tools, a hand operated vegetable slicer, over one hundred Barts Root beer cans, two...

    broken air-o-matic

Mine is non-functional as well, I think it is just the inline air regulator, but a TM would be great! James

    M37 Recovery

As I was cleaning out the truck I found another little nugget I wasn't expecting, under the drivers seat was the spinner and retaining plate for the spare tire, those two accessories seem to be the first things lost once they are surplussed! James

    M37 Recovery

Update: I had to do something with that faded fire engine red. So six dollars of surplus paint and it's kind of OD. Still red on the inside, but the astro turf is gone. This is the first M37 I have owned that had the seat wood intact much less having the original seats and covers there...

    Kitchen Deuce

Stan: I read this article prior to posting and in fact since it didn't answer my basic question of was there an actual Kitchen/Mess Truck produced for the US military I wanted to post for an answer. Since when I go and talk to the owner he will be of zero help with info on the vehicle, he was...
