I have been looking in the TMs for this but since I don't know what it is called
I am at a loss.
I changed the overflow tank today and I noticed a small valve and some small tubing
that was held on by the same bolt that secures the top of the resevoir.
I am assuming that it may be some kind of...
If you look where it was squirting out you should see a little plastic knob
with an X on it If I remember right. This is the bleeder valve. Close it after you bleed the filter
and you should be ok.
DH is right in that my hole has been drilled out. I was wondering what the spec was for the hole.
Obviously larger than 0.37. Also, do you know who might have just that part for sale, not the whole shaft?
I am assuming that it would be next to impossible to fix the part by sleaving the hole...
Antelope Valley Equipment & Truck Parts is where I bought my gear reduction starter and it has been working
for at least 5 years now with no problems. They are on the left coast though.
You did install the right support brackets which are different than the other type starter has?

Please do me a favor. When you get the pins from DH please put one in and measure the
amount of play. I know his pins are the right diameter but I think my yoke on my PTO drive shaft
has a larger pin hole than what it is supposed to have. I bought the drive shaft years ago
and am about to...
I'm not sure, but I believe it gives out a tach reading on CUCVs by some obscure method
that depends on a small circuit boar that fits in one of those pouches under the dash like the glow plug module fits in. It's been a few years since I played with it.

I don't know the details. He is a very nice guy that buys lots of stuff from gl
for his business and I think what happened is that he had to take care of other
things when the euc cleared and it wasn't worth his time to make an extra trip down there
to pick it up. He would have given it to me...
Ok, this is a little odd ball so read thru.
A friend bought a 3/4 ton trailer from gl
but is too far away for him to bother to
pick it up. His EUC just cleared but it is a
little more than 10 days ago. There is a possibility
that he can get them to release it even though
it is late.
If...
I need to verify if the following is reasonable
for using on my M108 hoist.
===============================
It looks to be 6x19 IWRC galvanized filler wire, with regular lay, 6 external bundles with 10 large strands and 9 filler strands. It came from GL and was sold as 1/2" cable. It is NOS...
Backing up an M720 connected to an S280 is like trying to stick a wet noodle up you know where.
aaargh:evil:
Bruce
PS: No wildcats were abused or maligned in the above statement.
Thanks for the offer, but my situation is that I have 2 M720s One I use for
my S280 which has the necessary clips etc. and the other I want to use for
moving an ISO container around. That is why I want to modify it so that it can
grab the container.
I am thinking of just making the container...
I have been rethinking this project and I think the way to go is to weld some very heavy
angle steel on the dolly set and weld in some twistlocks to the ends of the angle.
Need to do something with the top attachement points.
Anyway, just some thoughts.

Usualy the only reason those box filters leak is because of the "water in fuel"
sensor and "o" ring that comes with it. You may have a different situation,
but I would check that first and then replace the sensor & O ring. The leak
would be in the back of the bracket. A lot easier than making...
