Message to the second, third or fourth place bidders, if they are on this list...PM me because I have the same truck that I'd sell you for much cheaper! :)
The bows are different on the A2Cs...the elbows have latches that secure the stave/elbow to the top bow...as opposed to the screws that are used with the standard bows. Fortunately for you, you have the non-dropside truck, which means it does not matter which bow you use.
Beautiful GAZ-66.
I never pursued a URAL seriously because, without inspecting, I was unsure what I was buying. If I fly over to inspect (I don't have any trips planned at this time), the cost starts to be an issue.
(continued...hit reply before I finished). Also, they have large blind spots when backing up. Even the newer style mirrors don't help much. I suggest adding a back-up camera.
Privet! My wife is Russian, she's from Khatokovo outside of Moscow. Her parents were visiting with us for the past few months and they just returned to Russia. I've been to Russia once and thought it was beautiful!
Good luck with the slantback conversion. I assume you are looking for a...
Derrick, that truck looks awesome. I wish you luck with it. Hopefully, it will start right up! I know a Stewart and Stevenson tech if you have any questions.
Yes, I have AC in my M925A2. It is basically the stock RED DOT set up, except the plenum has been modified because I did not want to lose the passenger seat. It is sweet. Even on the hottest days, and with a soft top, I have to turn it down because it gets so cold. I have posted pics...
A good friend, who is a trucker with an RGN, is trying to get out of south central VA and go towards WI. If anyone has a load, he'll haul for $2-$2.50/mile depending upon what you need hauled and where. PM if you have any loads going that way and I'll put you in touch with him. This guy hauls...
I have had them up to 65 mph for brief moments...they'll do it...but I agree with the poster regarding the rated speed for the tires. I try not to exceed 57 mph.
What do you want to do with it? Is it going to be strictly a hobby truck? Or, are you planning to work it? If so, how? Hauling trailers on the highway...or hauling loads off road. I would need more info to make a reco. My first thought is...go with the cleanest truck. If you want the most...
I no longer own that truck. I sold it to a guy in Kentucky who sold it to a guy in the NE, I believe, for some serious coin...over $150K! I loved the truck and did not want to part with it, but he REALLY wanted it! As we all say, everything is for sale for the right price. I actually...
I am not a big fan of ether, but I use it. I just give my trucks barely a sniff through the air intake (has to travel through the air filter). The trucks turn over a few times and then light off...but not too fast like one might expect with ether. As I said, I give them a sniff only. In my...
POWERHOUSEDEUCE is right in your neighborhood. He lives in Pasadena. I am guessing you know him. If not, PM him. There is a monthly breakfast over in Ellicott City, and every May there is a huge show in Aberdeen, MD. Welcome aboard.
