RE: flag
Well thank you for straightening me out on that.
Technically those aren't flags on the back AND, when flying "flags" (plural) the law doesn't say you "can't" fly a flag from the left fender.
Good luck on trying to correct people that fly flags on their back windows.
As a verteran I...
395s VS 1300s
Looks Good!
I think once you get used to the look you will like the 395 Goodyears a lot better than 1300s especially if you are referring to Michilin XLs.
I took a set of 1400 XLs off my bobbed deuce several months ago and the difference between the two tires is like night and...
I'm considering swapping out the fiberglass top that came on my deuce www.M35MonsterTruck.com for a stock steel top.
There's nothing wrong with my fiberglass top. I just think my ruck would look better with a stock top.
Does anyone know the going rate on a stock steel top in good condition?
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: M37 Gear change
What kind of fuel mileage are you getting with your 318?
Are you running the standard New Process M37 Transmission?
I hate to admit it (show my ignorance) but afterr reading this several times I'm having a major dumb attack.
Help me out here if you will.
Are you saying if the FDC is bypassed the injectors will see appreciably more fuel and therefore to get back to something that resembles an original fuel...
Devilman Sez:
I agree --- I would never install new bngs without first verifying. As tempting as it is, given the uncertainty of not knowing if something has been previously turned I'm going to wait till I can verify what I need before ordering.
WillWagner Sez:
That's good to know --- thanks
Can the mains be changed without dropping the crank?
How about the main seals?
I've got to drop the pan on my truck to install some sensors and other plumbing and even though I've got good oil pressure and no knocking I'm considering doing a PM bearing and oil pump change out while the pan is...
Greetings Fron The Minnesota North Woods,
To find their efficiency, diesels need to have a fire built in them. "Building a fire" doesn't just mean getting them up to an ideal operating temperature of 180 to 190 degrees --- it means achieving a "normalized" temperature.
The LDT465 is a huge...
I assume to plumb into the pan will require dropping the pan.
Seems like a lot of work but if you've gotta you gotta.
The problem with pulling the pan is that the dreaded "While I'm This Far I Mights As Wells" kick in.
You know --- "As long as I've got the pan off, I might as well throw a...

I just finished reading through their website. It certainly is simple --- easy to install.
They say the system will work with 6, 12, or 24 volt systems but doesn't explain how or why it is multi/volt compatible.
More importantly, I question whether the system would be...
I ran a 4 ft piece of hose up under the cab, toward the rear to keep the occasional odor out of the cab.
There isn't any visible blow-by with my deuce but I think it is worse when the weather is cold and the heat throughout the block isn't normalized.
I know Rosie runs a lot better and...
Last year I installed an electric cooling fan on my deuce.
The main reason for doing so was because the standard water pump mounted fan wouldn't allow the engine to heat up above 120 degrees in our cold Northern Minnesota winters.
The background on this project was covered in a "Slobbering...
RE: Muffler
Hookin 1 Sez:
After installing a muffler on Rosie I then did away with the water pump fan and installed an electric cooling fan. Removing the 13 HP fan "really" quieted things down.
Food for thought ... I'm in the process of installing an under seat arctic battery box. Doing so...
I'm starting this thread so it will hopefully be a gathering point for information on the 265 Chrysler flathead.
I am NOT an authority on the 265 however, over the years, I've done some research on the 265 that could make it easier for others that go the 265 route. Corrections are welcome...
