I really thought then I opened this thread that it was going to be another posting of that 1950's deuce driving under water. I am glad it was not and it was something about 100x cooler.
If you talking the Secondary fuel filter gaskets the P/N is 5070.
From what I've read the 3511(Primary filter) comes with the proper gasket.
These are Napa part numbers
Unless there is a Walmart around the average joe now adays wants lowest bid. After my dad watched the first spaceshuttle blow up, he will never go with the lowest bid. He instilled that belief in me, that the lowest bid, useally isnt the best bid. I'm proud to say I've only been inside a Walmart...
Cheapest diesel gas I've found near Portland is in Sandy heading up to Mt. Hood. Always seems to be about a dime to a quater cheaper then then anywhere else.
2deuce, Where are in Ptown are ya?
I know I pay about 30 cents a gallon less for my fuel then the people in Washington. Also, I tend to go to the same service station weither they are the cheapest or not. Know them by name now an have never had an issue.
I had a service station refuse to pump gas into my deuce once. I explained to them it wouldn't hurt the engine and they sayed if they pumped gas into a diesel they where liable if something happen, so I drove across the street and they put some in for me. The second station did ask twice to make...
The only things I buy from HF are things I wont use everyday, or 1 time uses. I bought alot of my offroad lights for my trucks at HF, and replaced the bulb with a good one. If the housing breaks (with I've broken some hitting rocks/trees.) I'm out 10 bucks to go replace it, Vs 100's had I bought...
Well as some of you may know, I drive my truck almost every day, and use it for what it was intended. I haul lots of crap all the time offroad, I wanted to test to see how much artiulation the deuce really had. Ive sene some videos that showed it was decent, but I never really seem the truck...
Havent had to use it yet. I tested it @ 20 mph in a walmart parking lot and stoped the truck and trailer combo pretty quickly. Granted it was flat ground an in a controlled environment. I would wager that hitting that switch, and pulling the fuel cut off switch to turn the engine off would bring...
Ive been running a 90/10 blend of WMO and stale gasoline. Ive only been to 3 gas stations in the last 5 months, and my deuce sees between 20-30 miles per day average, Lately Ive been doing 80+ comutes with it.
Other then it not wanting to start in the morning when its cold, Ive seen no side...
For insurance try state farm. That quote seems pretty high, Im about 50 bucks a month for insurance, no mileage/hauling resrictions. And I'm a 22 year old with and AT FAULT wreck still on my record(gets droped in 6 months, cant wait to see how much my insurance will drop). As for a daily driver...
I have about 2500 miles on my deuce towing a 8k trailer with out trailer brakes. Free ways, 2 lane blacktops. Only time I have trouble stoping is when its wet out. That said, I rigged a hotwire from the brakes to an aux. battery and put a switch in line. If I flip the switch it will automaticly...
