    2006 LSSV help

Sounds like your only option is to trace out the positive battery cables and check for pinching or bare spots. It's possible the problem occured when you were driving and that issue is what caused the battery connection to melt. Also look for issues around the starter motor, such as it having...

    2006 LSSV help

Sorry about your loss. Did you insulate the positive terminal very well that leads to the (not present) frame mount battery? It cannot just dangle. I think you are figuring out that the battery connections need to be perfect at all times.

    M977 fuel system TMs

These can be hard to prime. A trick to do this is to pressurize the fuel tank with like 2 psi and crack open the line before the fuel pump.

On behalf of the State of Texas, I apologize for that.

    Model numbers and various options.

The USMC number is not used for titling. The mfg s/n is what is used. Use search term “serial” in the HMMWV forum for a list of year to S/N ranges.

Swap old gasser motor for a Chevy LS 6.0L Vortec?

Thing is, the 6602 can churn out 224 hp all day every day for years. Ask that of a Chevy engine and the results may not be that great.

Unloading an M1082 - Caging Bolts and other unloading strategies

If you go to a heavy duty truck parts house and ask for “air brake caging bolts” they will fix you right up, they seem to be universal. If you study your auction pics you might see if the brakes are caged or not, if yes you will see a stud with nut protruding from the air brake canisters. A...

M1123 power steering aerated-Need troubleshooting advice

You are on the right track. I would bypass the winch, if no change, I would look at the steering gear before the hydoboost.

Mulemac01 M275 2 1/2 ton Gas truck tractor ON-GOING restoration and rebuild tread.

My thoughts are that a valve has gotten stuck. I would pull the valve cover and remove the rocker assy and see if you can work it loose by pressing down on the stem. Maybe you can break it loose by soaking in WD-40 or something like that.

New Member in Fort Worth, TX - What did I miss?

You got it for 5 grand cuz it's a 3 speed and it's kinda ugly. But heck the good running GEP engine is what matters.

Am I getting a good deal?

Sounds good to me. GP is a pig in a poke, if the truck doesn't run, you could be replacing an engine.
