    if the tank is off clean and sand the area and use fiderglass to repair it . If you do the entier bottom you wont have a problem again. I did this on a old tractor that the dottom of the tank was gone in its lasted 20 years with diesel in it. While the tank is off change the sock on the fuel pickup.

    non collapsable hose suggestion?

    I use a 1/2 inch metal pipe thats 4 feet long screwed into my pump. You can lower it into the waste oil as far as you want and keep the water and crud out.

    Pulling the intake wont let you see a broken glow plug. push a small screwdriver in the glow plug hole and look again for the missing piece through the injector hole. the engine might have eaten it but try to make sure . Try to find a bore scope to look at the cylinder for damage.

    Fuel Economy

    To get more fuel milage give it more air. Use the neck of another air cleaner and cut a hole in the one your running . You can also ad a hose to get fresh cool air for more fuel savings. A turbo will help but only untill the head gaskets let go.

    I had a 1997 chevy tahoe that my daughter went end over end with. I used the seats out of it. I had to use 3/4 in spacers to lift the seat and drill new holes but now have arm rest and electric seats that tilt. Worked great. My daughter is fine one **** of a truck.
