I have removed 4 items from the Richmond site. They do lift the trucks up and bend driveshafts and put dents in the trucks . They ary also much nicer and more helpful than the d!ck knogen at camp Lejeune. I will keep going to Richmond, theytreat me better.
I am lucky Stampy is a friend of mine and i went to his house and looked at his setup. I used a steel drum with hot water element 220 v but wired it to 110 v . It wont burn up then also use the temperature unit off the hot water tank. Stampy has a great centrifuge that i wish i could buy. Money...
I had one that melted to the hub. I removed the retaining nuts and cut the bearing shell and removed the hub. I then cut the bearing off the spindel with a cut off wheel. Takes time but i didnt have to get a new spindel. PS cut almost through the bearing colar and then split it with a chisel.
Sea flome is great. I use it in my motorcycles. Keeps the carbs from getting gumed up. You can also use 2 qt of trans fluid in the tank. Trans fluid has alot of cleaning agents in it just stars it up and let it run. It will either clear up as it gets clean or stop when the filter gets cloged...
The point that the trans shifts is adjusted on the injection pump. the modulator in the trans can also be adjusted. look to see a line of paint around the end of the modulator the color of the paint tells what pressure it is suposed to shift at. you should be able to bend your line to the right...
Stampy is a friend that showed me his setup. I then made my own . I have less than 1 hundred dollars in mine but having access to a machine shop realy helps. Like Stampy I heat remove the water and then let it run while i work in my shop. Have a bag of oil dry you will make a mistake and have a...
The fastest way to tese the glow plugs and I think the best way is to disconect them and use a test light . You conect the test light to the 12 volt battery the one next to the steering shaft on the positive side and tuch each glow plug end. Just where cth conector was removed. If the light...
I have made the repair myself before. Take the starter off disconect the battery cables and remove the starter sylonid from the starter. Use a new starter bolt to measure a piece of steel big enough to drill and thread then install the starter with the good bolt and mark and grind out where the...
I had a rebuild that came in for a simple oil change. After the change it wouldnt turn over. Tried to bar the motor over both directions and no movement at all. after a tear down found a washer jamed between the timming gears. Someone was not very carefull during the build.
I replaced my radiator from my blazer wiyh a truck radiator. The truck radiator has a 4 core radiator and I had no heat with the right thermostat. Had to block part of the radiator with cardboard.
The conection for the bulbs might be dirty or lose. Remove the dash and clean the mounting holes for the bulbs and you can bend the tabs on the bulb holders to tighten the conection up.
Test the starter sylonid on the starter. You can use a push botton switch hocked to the positive wire on the starter and the trigger wire on the sylonid and see if it turns over. That will tell if you have any electrical problems to the starter or a problem with the starter.
If you make tour own use fuel hose clamps they are beter than hose clamps . for the best protection have some made at a truck shop or a tractor shop that makes hydrolic lines. will last under the pressure.
you can make the tool with a fine thread nut cut in half and a small hose clamp. I made my own spacers using other nuts put on first and just turned the glowplug out. I have also had them break off and then had to use modified needle nose plyers bent the end to 90 and ground down the sides. On...
try napa or a local truck repair shop tell them what you have commings 6 cyl and get the # off the block. You will also need a special head wrench to do the job. You might try a local national guard shop they might help out with tool and parts offer them lunch on you.
Yes you need new head gaskets. When the water in the radiator is low the sending unit isnt in water and it gives a false reading. Change headgaskets and adjust valves.
The charging system uses 2 12 volt batteries to make 24 volts. It also uses 2 alternators 1 on the drivers side makes 12 volts and sends it to the other alternator to make 24 volts then the charge is fed to the battery on the pasenger side. the battery on the drivers side may not have a good...
You can fill the spin on filter with trans fluid it will clean the injection pump and the injectors. I would also put a quart in the fuel tank it realy cleans everything.
