I bought a transfer case PTO to drive a winch on the rear of my Bobber. I don't have it in front of me to take a picture...but, what is the compression fitting on it for ? Oil ?
A Bobbed Deuce is really front heavy. If your going to run two winches, an electric winch on the front ( only 100 lbs ) and a 5 ton winch on the rear is a slick way to do it.
I've been stopped and ticketed for having headphones on. I was told it is illegal because you can't hear what's going on around you around you like an ambulance, firetruck etc..
I went the radial route first. I wanted more diameter for clearance but the width of the tire made them worse, both climbing ability and side slip (in snow conditions) were terrible. If I could get a 48 inch tall, 9 inch wide tire, radial or not, I'd be all over it. I think my next purchase...
"without a lot of hassle" No. With some hassle. Yes. I'm going to mount a 5 ton winch on the rear of my deuce. Too much weight on the front already. It's probably going to involve some hassle.
Didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I do have a set of XZL's but to actually use my truck as a tow truck I use my 9.00 X 20's. XZL's look awesome and really fly down the highway but they have way too much surface area for my Bobber. So, I concur, you don't have to convince me a narrow tire...
No, no power loss at all. I was worried about how sharp the bends had to be, to get around the frame, but the diameter stays the same ( 3.5" ) on all of the turns.
It is real easy to slip on a muffler. I tried one`and it did take the bark out of the exhaust tone but the loud rumble is still right there in your face. It is a lot of work to plumb the exhaust out the back but it sure is nice. I can drive around with my passenger window down and I don't hear...
