What kind of effort would be required to encourage the alcohol to evaporate? Bolt a drill with a paint stirring propeller to the barrel and run it for a few hours? (Chemical People: Does it even matter?)
Low-cost fuel is good (if it doesn't cause the motor to die...).
An M36A2 is an extra-long wheelbase deuce. I haven't heard of the M63, though.
Edit: The wonders of the search function! Take a gander here for more on the M36: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=8004&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
Folly - In architecture, a folly is an extravagant, useless, or fanciful building, or a building that appears to be something other than what it is.
The term comes from the fact that such structures have often been dubbed "[name of architect or builder]'s Folly", in the sense of foolishness or...

In my limited experience, all the civilian ambulances I've worked with (1990's and 2000's models) have had a battery switch that turns everything off.
I didn't realize there was yet another member here in southwestern Virginia. Shoot me a PM if you need any unskilled labor and we'll see if I can make it.
Some have said that freight carriers/UPS/FedEx/etc. are sometimes happy to rid themselves of the mixed fuels rather than pay to have it disposed of. Can anyone give hints about what might be needed vis-a-vis equipment, availability to the company to remove such tainted fuel, who to approach...
Well, FS colors are just a standard which applies to models or their bigger brothers. If you look at their literature, some model builders are as detail oriented in their hobby as we are in ours.
Go here to type in a five digit FS color number to see an approximation on your computer...
RE: Alive
Semi gloss olive drab is the name (and the simple answer) for an Army paint scheme. For the time period of your truck, the color would be known by the Federal Standard color number 24087. Check out the Paint and Bodywork section of the forum for which paint to obtain and where to...

RE: cranetruck
On the topic of cab heaters, I've heard the defroster ducts in the M44 cabs "inhale." Miltrucks once had some additional sheet metal deflectors from one of the arctic kits which were supposed to help.
Any opinions? Where can they be found if they're worth pursuing. (I've seen...
I spent Sunday playing in the back of the truck. Current challenges are as follows:
Need to review the TMs to find where the 24v power runs from the cab/chassisto the van body, as now only the shore power option is working.
The metal plate (rather than wood) area over the wheels is really...

These folks had some complete kits for the cab two years ago for about $200. Mr. W is pretty hard of hearing, but Mrs. W can act as the "go-between."
