RE: Air compressor hot / turbo ID / truck history
I pulled the air compressor off of the truck. You can use a wrench to turn it over but it is really tight. I also notice some metal flaking in the bottom. Hoping there was not too much metal dumped into the motor. How does the compressor...
I have my air assist lines running over the blinker wireing. Left turn does not work all the time. Lift the air lines and move the wireing and it works again. It is not always the flasher but sometimes the wireing.
. I don't know anything about AVM but I can tell you the Ouverson hubs are tough. Not tough enough to fight a concrete wall but they are tough. I have had 2 failures with Ouverson hubs. BOTH WERE MY FAULT. One was water in the bearing from a torn boot and the other was from the concrete...
RE: Air compressor hot / turbo ID / truck history
No it melted. Thermo said 300 degrees 5 minutes after shutting down. Just got off the phone from the guy I got it from. Said when he got the truck the compresor on it was burned up and they replaced it with a good compresor from another...
On I just got this truck today. Went for the test drive. Most went well except for the air compressor getting hot, very hot. If was hot enough to melt the fuel return line. I noticed new red silicone on the bottom so I am assuming there has been some problems. Any idea what is wrong. It...
RE: Canvas seat covers for 09
Find some canvas and have them done locally.
I had to recover my seat in my deuce after using the torch too close and burning little holes in it.
If you flip the hubs and have the extra money then replace the seals. I flipped mine and kept the original seals and used silicone in the grove. None have leaked yet. 3 years now. I do have a wheel cylinder leaking on one that need attention. I am running modified deuce rims with 3” added...
RE: Re: RE: Blasting Help! Question!
Dryer on the air line?
Does your compressor have enough volume at 100 psi?
Oil blow by from the compressor?
When I did my truck I had oil blow by from the compressor. I had a Schmidt 350# POT. It would clog and then blow out. Dump the dryer and was good...
Re: RE: Spin on filter installation
No warranty, I knew that as it was not his fault. I sent the hub in. He said he could reuse the internals if they were ok and would knock some off the price.
Bleed the brake lines first and work back from there. Has the master been replaced? Sometimes if you don’t bench bleed them first they will have air trapped and no peddle.
There was one in Austin TX 6 months to a year ago. I think it went in the 28K range.
That is about the cheapest running truck in good condition I have seen.
