The daughter and I spent some time on the "Beast" doing some routine maintenance: diff fluids, oil, air, and radiator. Fun afternoon and she learned some and was a laugh a minute.
You won't get rich building them but you should sell a handful (reasonably priced of course). I love the looks and the idea of using what's already there instead of going to a receiver hitch and still needing the mount. Handles will be a must otherwise it will be a bear to fit on in the mud...
I don't use anything on the bed rails but where it comes in contact with the cab I'm still using the old gasket and no leaks so far. There are several places that offer replacement cab seals. For my old CJ I've been using some of the Lowe's weather stripping tape for around windows and doors...
Thanks for all the help! Got her home with a little bailing wire. The issue was where the shift rod that connects the transmission to the steering shaft had popped out of the keeper. Looks like the hole it enlarged or part of the bushing is missing. I used the bailing wire to hold everything...
Shifter column has no indication of notches that you normally feel when shifting. I think I'll try to crawl under and manually shift but I'll find someone to assist with that one. The more I play with it the more I'm convinced it is linkage somewhere between the column and the transmission...

Craigslist and auction sites are your best bet. Those and sites like this will eventually pay off. Post in the WTB sections and you'll find one. It may be the friend of a friend who knows this guy deal but you'll find it.
A better combination for a CB antenna would be the MS-116A, 117A, and AB-24/GR sections this will make a shorter antenna with the AB15 mount you should be able to get an SWR around 1.3. If you are getting high SWR or trouble transmitting or receiving, use a ground strap around the so-239...
A quick way to test to eliminate some items, check your hazards. Do they work? Swap the flasher relay on the fuse box, do they still work? If not, do the blinkers? If so problem solved replace blinker relay. Probably not that easy but you may get lucky.
