Fan Time Delay Module bypass / Manual Fording Switch

It would be easy enough to do, if nobody has a schematic I could work one up, easy peasy. You would need a 24V relay (with normally closed contacts) a switch and a fuse.

    4l80e head scratcher.. need help

I only want to get the correct information out there to help folks in need. NO HMMWV ever had an ODB-II, they use the same transmission and TCM configuration that was used on the 6.2L mechanically injected non ECM vehicles before the mid 90s. Again I ask have you seen that NSS switch on a...

    4l80e head scratcher.. need help

You have owned several on HMMWVs? I have never seen that switch on a HMMWV, but I don't get to play with the latest (ECV/REV) trucks

    4l80e head scratcher.. need help

The neutral safety switch is in the shifter and has nothing to do with the range switch that is in the transmission. It only prevents starting the vehicle unless the shifter is in neutral and or park in the case of a 4 speed and has no connection whatsoever to the transmission wiring.

    HMMWV starts then stalls

    M1152A1 rear axles 10K or 12K

I would look at Kascar and HPG Others may have suggestions. I have seen some "real" surplus ones on that infamous auction site, the parts TM will give you the needed NSN numbers.

    M1152A1 rear axles 10K or 12K

Just be careful what vendor you get the boots from, there are some selling junk, one easy knock off is if they have "universal" clamps

    M1152A1 rear axles 10K or 12K

So you are stuck with ether rebuilding the ones you have if they are not damaged or ponying up the big bucks.

    M1152A1 rear axles 10K or 12K

12K, a good hint is to look at your GVWR anything over 10.3K would be 12K unless someone changed them which is doubtful

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

Ol Diggy Dog and I rolled on down to the beach just to check out the crowd, Diggy Dog had a great time barking at just about everyone and whining at just about every dog she saw. We did not see any Humvee's or any other military vehicles but did spot this resto-mod Willys Woody which was pretty...

    2006 M1097R1 Insurance in Texas

I just got coverage on a 2008 HMMWV through J C Taylor with a 13K stated value and 300/300K on the liability for around $325. I pay about twice that amount for my 1992 HMMWV with the same liability and a stated value of 25K with Hagerty Hagerty does not seem too concerned with annual mileage...

    Lost nut in starter

You really cannot test the solenoid outside of the starter, all you can really do is check the coil for continuity. That piston the solenoid pulls to what would be the front of the solenoid (as oriented on the vehicle) not only engages the starter drive into the flywheel it pushes a pin that...

    M1097A2 Random Limp Mode

Does the trans light always come on in run but not running? if so have you checked the codes?? there are codes that do not light the trans light. If the trans light does not come on in run (without the engine running) then you probably have ether a light issue or a power issue (switched 12V) to...

    Lost nut in starter

Then you should be able to simply roll the starter over and shake the nut out unless you have put the starter in the vertical in which case the nut could have fallen into the field coils and you may have to completely disassemble the starter to get it out.

    Lost nut in starter

There are no permanent magnets in a HMMWV starter. and the brushes cannot be removed without removing the end plate first, it is an old school Delco style starter. I am assuming he is trying to work on the starter while still installed on the engine and has figured out short cuts can lead to...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

What are you going to do about the imbalance caused by the transmission TCM? TCMs do not like having switched 12V going to the unswitched input in case you are thinking of using a switched power converter. Actually I think it is funny they call that an upgrade kit..

    PN:22089 TIMING PROTRACTOR NSN:6675-01-247-2286

Again WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO??? Do you have a pump test bench and trying to set up timing on a pump or are you trying to time a pump in the engine? That tool is for use on a test bench, step A can only be done on a test bench.

Like a "Pound Puppy", it called my name to adopt it...

Dang, I thought there was a base I had not heard of, Pam drove a MUTT from Ft Hood to Ft Huachuca and back for a three week adventure back in the 70s

    Help request on a M1152 6.5T

Is it intermittent or constant, they are bad about plugging the CAT, that will cause excessive smoke and loss of power. An intake restriction can do the same but the intake filter is so large that rarely happens. ALSO I have heard that it might be possible to cram the intake mushroom down so...
