Great work John. I really enjoy seeing your original idea get closer to fruition.
I’m reminded of another vintage MV electric conversion I read about awhile back. Unfortunately the site I had bookmarked no longer exists, but here’s a brief write-up of M38 Mike’s Electro-Willys. I can’t recall...
No problem. Lots of folks here have helped me out. I try to return the help when I can.
I’ve used Brian Stilwell of B&R trucking a few times to move my M35 and a Jeep. He’s always given me the best rate and is great to work with. It’s been about 5 years since I worked with him last during my...
An AS-3449 antenna is standard for a VSQ-2 EPLRS which transmits 100W on high power. Duty cycle might be a factor since it’s a TDMA FH data radio. Again, I don’t know how the antenna specs would work out for non-standard use. I’m probably overlooking aspects of your application, just offering...

They’re vehicle kill indicators for multiple integrated laser engagement systems (MILES). Not 5 ton specific. They would be mounted on any vehicle outfitted with MILES at a combat training center such as NTC, JRTC or JMRC. Usually armored combat vehicles are fitted with MILES. These lights may...
I recall a nice Mighty Mite restomod over on the expedition portal forums. It’s been a few years since I read the thread, but I recall the guy put in a little Diesel engine, made some other changes and substantially improved the drivability. Other than tan or white paint the exterior looked...
