If you are not familiar with setting up R&P in a heavy truck, take/send your pumpkins along with your new R&P to a competent shop like MTP drivetrain Many, LA.
I believe the tray is the same as usual, what they did was have that u shaped surround made so more stuff could be mounted on top. Somebody was reproing those, maybe 86humv.
My suggestion would be to offer new "guts" for the existing boxes we have. That will eliminate the expense of the box and the expensive connectors. And pppplease use a big honkin solenoid, not those 3 in a row transistors to light up the glows.
I know you posted in the HMMWV section, but are you talking about a Chevy cutaway with the 6.5? The USMC HMMWVs typically are not fluid drained, whereas USAF vehicles are. I wouldn't drop pans but I would grab the crank pulley and make sure the engine is free.
There is a group 51 agm available but be aware it has little tiny posts for a disgusting prius. I bought one at NAPA, didn’t really look at it until I had it in the store parking lot, ah no. Back it went.
How does soldier a handle knowing the truck could shake off it’s air compressor, alternator or fan any time it feels like it? Kinda always in the back of my mind while driving these.
The only time you would need those straps is if you drive at highway speeds with the vinyl tarp sides rolled up. If the sides are lashed down the top can’t suck off.
Yes, the military used US manufactured inverters on SECM (maintenance) HMMWVs as well as Special Forces GMV HMMWVs. They have thick cables feeding them, as Tow4 said, the poor CUCV alternators won’t like it if you decide to pull 4000 watts to power your house during an outage.
Yes that’s the HMMWV alternator and the military never installed either it or a serpentine system on a M1031. Someone did a very clean install looks like, and did away with the finicky dual alternator setup and troublesome V belts.
