I've had several Big Blue 400's and I currently have a Big Blue 500 with the Duetz engine. For welding they can't be beat. For power generation, they're more than most people need. They're quieter than a MEP802.
I've had a dozen or so MEP802s, and have two currently. With a little bit of load...
I've got 16.00s and hemtt rims on my M925. My M925 is mostly a toy, although it occasionally makes long trips pulling trailers.
I've got 14.00s on my M936A2. I'll be putting 11.00s on it for better low end and greater stability.
As US6x4 says above, if your dumptruck is primarily a toy...
My poor hmmwv could really use some Hawkers. The set I had in it (dated 2010!!!) finally died... now it's limping along on a couple of 'normal' batteries.
I like your idea of doing one at a time. Safer that way. I've done all 6 at once more than once.
Learn from my mistakes. Don't skimp on safety devices. I did it with harbor freight jack stands, and they recalled them for being defective afterwards....
Get some good ones, like the ones...
Those work. Not my first choice as they leave the fragile valve stem rather exposed. I've broken more than one valvestem on those...
But they're priced right, and a pronounced improvement from what you've got now.
The path of least trouble and least complexity is to get the aluminum MRAP rims that are shown on my deuce in the picture.
I had no issues with them, but my steering was stock. I'm not sure if there's an issue with your aftermarket steering.
