The more I search around on this subject, the more I realize what an orphan the HMMWV tire size is if you want a skinnier, less aggressive tire.
I want to try some CUCV wheels with something 275/100R16 size...but there isn't much to choose from
A friend of mine got ahold of some racks used in police cars. Magnetically lock a shotgun and AR but can open with a hidden switch, or manually with a handcuff key.
I'll be ****ed if I cant find pics of it though
LOL, I went and looked up under the lip of the box and found the old unit.
I'm like..."this is too easy". So I mounted it in the same holes. Later, when reinstalling the battery box lid, I feel it rocking on the lip of the cover and top of the control unit.
Had to drill new holes to...
Im finally getting around to replacing my solargizer system.
The original was "de-milled" by cutting the wires just under the hood and removing the whole harness/box stuff.
Im wondering if anyone has pics of the units as they were installed originally? If there was a standard routing for the...
Did you ever figure out who, at the top, is driving the hate? Its got to be some career politician that's taking money from some adversely interested party. Its not like a prius full of prom girls got murdered by some evil war machine just back from afghanistan....is it?

Unlike the "deep...
While that is technically true, the army does require that its vehicles meet those standards anyhow. Its all spelled out in MIL-STD-1180B Safety Standards for Military Ground Vehicles.
Luckily I was able to sign the affidavit here in AZ.
I'm slowly working on half doors for mine, too. It looks like you popped for the real deal to start with.
Im going to fab my own. Im waiting on my local metal supply to save me some 24x38 remnants of 1/4 or 3/16 aluminum sheet.
I started by just adding a piano hinge to the door filler panel...
I got mine quick. Auction ended 12/7/18. Picked up 1/8/19. Received SF-97 1/24/19
Army. Marked Off Road Only. Had clean title, regular plates, emissions, and insurance within two hours of receiving the SF-97.
Call your state DMV main office for info on the latest hoops for registering a Truck...
I would try to do this...
Instead of timbers and stuff, I would try two heavyduty pallets and two HD ratchet straps.
Instead of timbers, use the tires with pallets on top. strapped down tight and all the front and rear strapped down, you should be well within the load specs..
