On my M818, a couple of the bolts between bell housing and engine were not installed. These were at the bottom of the bell housing. I installed grade 8 bolts. Make sure all of the bolts are there.

Just hold a rag with gas on it up to the intake. Once the engine starts remove the rag. If you have to start it a lot in cold temperatures get a block heater.

Unless you have lockout hubs, the entire drive train is turning regardless of the transfer case being locked. The top speed will be the same.
