No.
The stock alternator is based on a 27SI. The alternator in your link says 17SI and negative polarity.
I sell the rebuild kits for your alternator. It's easy to do. Whatever you do, don't give away your original alternator as a core. You will have a hard time finding another.

If it's a stock charging system, the passenger side alternator has to be isolated ground or the smoke will get out. I doubt you can buy one of those in an auto parts store.
Gas is not as explosive as either. A buddy who starts his tractors this way in the winter told me about it. He said the engine didn't make as much noise starting with gas as it did with either.
Having done it, I can say it works just as he described. I started my M915 at 25 degrees while I was...
On my M818, a couple of the bolts between bell housing and engine were not installed. These were at the bottom of the bell housing. I installed grade 8 bolts. Make sure all of the bolts are there.
Just hold a rag with gas on it up to the intake. Once the engine starts remove the rag.
If you have to start it a lot in cold temperatures get a block heater.
I own a M1028A2 and while I'm sure it can tow 5 to 6K with no problems, I know it will be slow. The high differential gears limit its top speed and the engine HP limits how quick it can/or if it can get there. It is slow with no load. The more you put in it or behind it, the worst it will be...
I have the blue and white Permanent Antique plate for all of my MV's. I don't really care which plate I have as long as it's a permanent plate. They all ride in the glove compartment anyway so you never see them.
My M915A1 runs cool also. I usually don't see more than 150 degrees with the AC on running bob tail. It did get up to about 160 degrees on a long grade pulling my M373 trailer. I've checked the top radiator tank with an IR thermometer and it's 10~20 degrees hotter than the dash gauge, still not...
I dove my M915A1 pulling my M373 trailer to NC a couple of months ago. With the trailer in tow the ride is not too bad and I also have an air ride seat. Bobtail will beat you to death. It is slow and you are only going to see 60 mph or a little more if you run it at the red line. Mine runs down...
Take it to an auto parts store that has a alternator tester. Make sure you know how the alternator and regulator needs to be connected to turn on the alternator. If the regulator needs a special plug, you may have to supply it or have an alternative way to connect it.
You can call first to make...
Joey was great to work with. He called me and coordinated a time for the driver to pick up. He also followed up and straightened out a misunderstanding with the trucking company. He called me the following day to make sure the pickup had been made.
If I ever need anything big shipped, I will...
