Hey Vinny, I have sent a couple of emails to the 'floridamvrally@gmail.com' address and haven't received a reply. I need to buy camping and dinner tickets for one person for Friday and Saturday.
I just sent one to the 'floridamilitaryvehiclerally@hotmail.com' in your signature. Silly me...
Thread the studs in by hand and check the height compared to the other studs. You don't want to torque the stud down in a blind hole. Just snug it and use loctite. If the stud threads in too far (is lower than the other studs), just don't thread it in all the way when you install it; use loctite.
Good job on getting the cracked fittings replaced Ray. It's hard to believe you had a couple of different fittings that were cracked.
See if you can get the video of the inaugural flush posted or linked....
Looking good Ray!
To test the black water system.... Fill the toilet bowl up with as much water as it will hold and flush it. If you are using a RV toilet, make sure you hold the foot valve down all the way so the valve at the bottom of the bowl is full open. This will simulate a maximum...
I had my Deuce insured as a commercial policy with State Farm. The cost was about $600 a year; the same as I pay for full coverage for my F350. I changed to Gulfway for all my MVs and after reading through the policy, I don't see any of the restrictions listed and it is a commercial policy...
That all looks good Ray! You need to test it thoroughly before it goes live. There's a long drop from the throne to the tank. You don't want to find out that when the bomb drops it sets off a tsunami that blows the drain pipe out the end of the tank!
The number is in the -34P TM. You should be able to find it somewhere. I would just order it off Ebay if you don't need it right this minute. It's easier than trying to hunt one up at a parts store.
Wow Ray,
I didn't notice the twin Barca Lounger when I was there Monday; that's awesome! The way those recline, you won't be needing your air mattress any more. Plus it will be easier to sleep through the movie next time!
BTW, that is a cool MV parts storage/workshop you got going...
I don't think anybody has said anything here to try and put anybody down or offend someone. We all just supply our opinions and information based on the issue as we see it.
Since all LEOs enforce the laws as defined in the statutes; what is needed is the STATUTE/s that SPECIFICALLY says...
What Phil said. It would help you get more accurate information.
Sounds like you are describing a truck tractor based on your 19,000 and 75,000 GVWR statement. If that's the case, it will fall under the CDL requirements. As far as the CDL is concerned, it matters what the vehicle is rated...
I think the main determining factor for a CDL requirement is the GVWR. Looking at the FL 2010 CDL Handbook; if the vehicle has a GVWR of less than 26,000 lbs (Deuce is 23,000) you don't need a CDL. The air brake part only applies if the vehicle otherwise falls under the GVWR for a commercial...
