    Third's Build Discussion

Maybe a generator/APU thread is in order? I don't have an APU in this build/thread. I covered my genset some pages ago. Just trying to keep things on topic. I don't mind a small hijack, but this is supposed to be a build thread. Or I could change the title and start another that covers the...

For Only $2500 You Can Have a Toilet

The Laveo has the same specs as a traditional toilet. Never seen one of those incinerators before, but if those metal chompers got ahold of you then you might end up with crispy bits. :)

    Third's Build Discussion

I suppose I could devise a way to fill the tank via city line. But I've read some horror stories of folks blowing out their water tanks if the regulator fails.

    Third's Build Discussion

I don't mind the gravity feed taking awhile. Plus I travel with a spare 20gals in Jerry cans that I can put into the tank. And the beach trailer is getting it's own 50 gal fresh water tank and transfer pump (but it's mostly for cleaning fish and hosing the sand off the dog, etc).

    Third's Build Discussion

Yeah, the city inlet bypasses the tank. You literally have to throw the lever on the diverter valve inside to access one or the other. Independent lines to that point. And the systems have redundant backflow preventers in multiple locations as needed. If the lever isn't in the correct...

For Only $2500 You Can Have a Toilet

My buddy has a lot of parties in his garage/backyard. Biker guy. The men have a fire hydrant to pee on by the fence. The women have handlebars to hang onto and squat. :)

For Only $2500 You Can Have a Toilet

I'm still going with the Laveo. I'm thinking of having it come out of the wall on motorized linear slides. With the theme from "2001 A Space Odyssey" piped over the sound system and some flashing LEDs. Or not...

    Third's Build Discussion

Completed the design changes to the bed and picked up the last of the materials. Needed to get that done and assembled before I secure the water tank and land my inlets. It's the task for the next couple days. Changed from a combo square door water inlet to separate individual inlets for...

    simplest ladder design Ive seen....

That would be laying on the ground at the first tree I passed. ;) Not knocking the design, just saying I have a hard enough time keeping marker lights on the side of the hab. When I do my cab-side ladders, I intend to keep them as low profile as possible for that very reason. DOT has their...

Winches; front, back and frame mounted.

Another way to do a removable is a simple "bolt to tow hook hole" solution. Again, one solution would fit fore/aft. I'm kinda favoring that for simplicity at the moment...

Winches; front, back and frame mounted.

Removables are really just receiver hitch solutions. I'm tinkering with the concept of being able to flip the winch and pintle hitch fore/aft. The A1R has a pretty beefy rear receiver already. But damn that pintle is HEAVY to lug around. LOL Still, I'd like to fab up a forward receiver...

Winches; front, back and frame mounted.

My collection of examples for when the day comes. I'll likely make a completely custom bumper of mod an A0 bumper (because the A1R bumper is crap due to all the metal BAE removed and you can bend it with your mind):

Lighted indicator display illuminates in chase pattern

The thanks goes to General Disorder. I used multiple search engines and couldn't find squat on the web on tis topic. I'd even been in some of the RV/CAT forums looking. I'd seen a video of the issue once (don't recall if it was GP or an owner) but never knew what the issue was called nor...
