Thanks. It'll absolutely be the daily driver. I may need to install AC for the summer so I don't show up at work with sweat all down my back and armpits! :-D
It's time for another M925A2 work-day recap! I went down to Winslow's on Saturday morning. I had the Excursion chock full of tools and parts for the day's work. I was planning on doing some wiring, air line, and body work.
The first thing I notice when I pulled up was signs of progress...
Thanks for offering, James. I am trying to get it to Timntrucks so he can bring it to the Georgia Rally. Frodo will see him before he heads east, so that should work best.
Nice! That truck is a beast now! I am glad to see some more Excursion owners on here too. Is yours a 7.3L or 6.0L? Mine is a 2000 7.3L with 212,000 miles and counting.
A good place to start is the CUCV FAQ. There is a nice glow plug trouble shooting section here: Cucv - Steel Soldiers::Military Vehicles Supersite
Welcome to the site. There are a ton of CUCV folks here and most, if not all of us have had some sort of charging or glow plug issue. It's the...
LOL, really funny Case.
I am hitting the road early tomorrow to do an all day work session at John's. I am hoping to get a lot of the wiring and air lines repaired/replaced. The air brake system is the only thing keeping me from driving it at this point. Look for an update tomorrow!
Buckeye came through in a pinch! Thanks for the advice. I now have a VA licensed attorney on the case. I will fill everyone in once things are settled.
Thanks to Buckeye and the other folks who volunteered their services via PM's. It is nice to know we have some good legal resources here...
No kidding? That's a real PITA because Virginia won't accept SF-97's anymore. The only was I have been getting my GL stuff titled it with a FL title signed over from the GL agent. Hmmmm....
Thanks for the offer. Looks like a neat little trailer, but I am going to keep searching for a M116A3 for now. I also want an A3 so it'll look good behind my future HMMWV, which may be my next project if this 925A2 doesn't kill me! :)
Attention Steel Soldiers members who are also attorneys:
There is a lot going on around here behind the scenes these days. I could occasionally use the advice of a good attorney or two or three. If any of you attorney-members would like to volunteer your services from time to time, I would...
Thanks for the feedback guys. I like this M116A3, but it is such a hassle to get a title in VA without the right paperwork. I have been watching GL, but the A3's that are anywhere close to me have been at least $500. I'm going to look at some trailers at Winslow's this weekend too.
I need a trailer to carry the MEP002A. Found this one locally. Thinking of making an offer on it. It is missing the master cylinder. Has 8-lug HMMWV rims and tires on it. Parking brake cables are stuck? No title, bill of sale only. What would be a fair offer? Asking price is $400.
I...
