Came with the M1079. I think it was standard equipment for all by the A1R variants but not sure.

Fine given that the CARC paintjob was shit. I mist a little Oshpho on surfaces like the leaf springs that can catch some mild surface rust. Then I hit it with a rattle can a few days later. Lasts for months between treatments. Any nicks and scratches get a touchup of course...

    Warning light cable location?

OK, sounds like the convoy light. The OEM setup goes something like this: Relay_x > CB _y > dash switch > connector under the passenger kick panel (under the PDP) > wire harness_X > up the A-pilar and along the top of the passenger door > socket installed in upper rear cab wall >...

I also ghettoed -up the interior with a piece of vinyl that matches the seats. Just experimenting (it's all temporary).

I thought of you today as I sat in my cab with a rattle can of Rustoleum spraying my rusty heater (why BAE did such a crappy job with paint in the late 2000's is a shame). I even used some blue masking tape in a few places. I did leave the windows open so most of my brain cells...

Stainless surf rod holder. Came off a buddy's boat and had been sitting in his backyard for 25 years. Made from some serious German stainless used at a local power plant (my buddy made it as a "government project"). A few mods and some welding and it bolted right up. *does not interfere...

Ripsaws were a contract prototype that never made it. They were going to do civilian production but I don't think it ever came to fruition. So yeah, it would have had (and needs) some gat!!!

I've seen folks add electronic brakes to LMTVs. Never really looked into the specifics, but it's been done.

Towing a fifth wheel toy hauler w/ LMTV

I thought I had that "bumper fifth wheel" bookmarked but I don't see it. I'd love to do a full custom fifth wheel bed, but as pointed out you'd be pretty damned tall. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/jobsite-assault-vehicle.168400/page-3#post-2135198
