The $10,000.00 leaf
If you have not heard about the $10,000.00 leaf, this may help......
CONCLUSION
A leaf got into the fuel tank of a new ford just off warranty. It would float to the top and when it chose to, would hang around the fuel stem and disrupt fuel flow. It would then float away...
Moosejaw
Broke down in Moose Jaw.......If it's Moose Jaw Saskatchewan and not somewhere by Chicago, just a few miles East is Regina and one of the best troops around.
I'll PM you some contact info Natem and I'm only 9 hrs out if I can do something.....I need an excuse to get away.
Location History
The first pictures were taken in WWII in the same spot the B-17 and the Steel Soldiers met today. A very busy hanger in WWII and a well stocked museum today.
M135 Preservation
Having the great opportunity to display the truck near a B-17, with supervision and every precaution considered, we opened her to the public and let everyone climb over it.
These three photos really show what this important hobby is about. You just don't see kids climbin' on...
M135
Priceless is correct. I'd like to get photos of the faces that see the truck for the first time.
While touring downtown last week I had people standing on the road, in front of the truck taking pictures at a red light. They looked confused, perplexed at the big green 6 wheel jeep. Felt...
DB Cooper
Who are you, DB maybe? It's great Andrew. All you need to do is get the MV's over to the yard and get more pics. It's good to get an idea how big those trains are compared to my M135, you hang around big toys.......and if I ever get stuck, you the man.
Cheers
M1010 Edmonton
The M1010 with the Edmonton skyline in the background and a little Voodoo on a stick.
A picture in front of the Alberta Aviation Museum where the M1010 will be on static this weekend as an active First Aid Station amongst a WW11 theme. More pics to come.
M1010 Display...
Bob Kettler
That's a sad story 135gmc. I didn't know about Bob until one of our local MVPA members passed me....Bob Kettler Tech Tips. Wish I knew him, he clearly understood the truck.
The multi page document has some great detailed G749 information that really should be available to more...
This thread is for pictures of your MV in different locations around your hometown or great back-drops where your MV has taken you. It's either shots out the window or stopped with your MV in front of an amazing back-drop.
Include a little info about your location and the vehicle in your photo...
G749 Water pump
Finally got at the water pump and drove the M135 after a month.
You don't need to remove the thermostat housing when you remove the water pump. If you do, you will need to make a gasket....because you don't have one........and now that it's off you better clean it up and paint...
One bolt at a time
I had about twelve bolts lined up when I did the water pump today. It's been a month or so since I parked it.
Think I'm down to "one bolt every two or three days"...........what you're doing sounds good too.
Trying to get down for October so it's a good time to stockpile...
M1010 flood of 2012
Another storm late yesterday with pea to golf ball size hail, heavy rain, lightning starting a house fire and flooded fields. Crazy, fast, isolated storms that dump hail, then more water then the ditches or city drains can handle. The ditch we pumped yesterday filled again...
