When a truck is modified from an intake flame heater to an ether start kit, you replace the dash data plate and reuse the switch for the ether. All of the flame heater is disabled or removed. The wiring is reused for the ether also.
If you do not know what a TM is if where they are, all you need to do when referred to them is ask where they are. There should be no repercussion for asking if a member has read a TM.
