I do not think they will let you work on it at all.
I think you need to be 100% self sufficient (loading) and simply haul it off the base.
My understanding is, he simply shows up in a car to allow you to remove your truck.
I would confirm this with a GP rep, before making any plans.
I guess it depends if any rebels are offended by your use of the term.

Prime the fuel system and see f it restarts and runs.
You may have an air leak or a plugged filter.
Milege does not matter as much as time does if you have moisture or algea in your fuel.
A plugged filter could cause an air leak.
Have you regularly treated your fuel?
