Large red wire on large terminal.
All orange wires on other large terminal
Small light blue wire on small terminal
Small pink/black wire on other small terminal
Relay should be mounted sideways, not up and down.
From the factory, both alternators are isolated grounds. That was so the military only had to stock one type of alternator.
The passenger side HAS to be an isolated ground or fireworks will be in your future.
A regular civvy alternator can work on the drivers side only.

All you need to do is add a momentary switch to provide a ground for the GP relay.
The TM 9-2320-289-20 has a step-by-step procedure for a no start condition.
You should always use something to support the case when removing the bearing.

Also you need to modify your user profile to like your State of residence. The United States is not a State.
M939 is a series of trucks. Just as the M809 is for the older 5-tons and M44 for the Deuces.

On a stock system, the glow plug realy has 6 wires on it. The large red wire provides the voltage. The two large orange wires are connected to the glow plugs. The small orange wire is connected with the othe rorange wires and provides a sense voltage to the controller card.

Many times when a truck is converted to 12v, the GP relay will also need to be replaced. The contacts inside have carbon arcing on them.
