Height of cargo bows above bed in M35A2

A few years ago I picked up some cargo covers from Ft Sill. A few of them had been modified for taller uprights. They added a foot or foot and half to the bottom edges (I don't recall the exact measurement)

M1008 Clutch Safety Start Switch Help

I updated the wiring diagrams for the 1983 and the later trucks. I had some incorrect info in the older thread. You just need to put a switch in the yellow wire coming off the ignition switch. It supplies power to the starter relay when the key is in the START position

    CUCV in the movies

Recently rewatched The Presidio. There are a ton of M1009s, M1008s, Deuces, M809 series and even a M939 series truck. The movie was released in 1988 so it was pretty cool watching all the new trucks driving around. The movie wasn't half bad either.

    Water truck questions. M923a2?

Besides the weight, the roll over potential with 4500 gal in the bed is very high. Fire departments usually only carry around 1200gal and have issues with that. Here is a webpage for a company that retrofits MV for fire department use. They have done the studies and have a good idea on how to...

    Water truck questions. M923a2?

Changed your title. We try to reserve the HELP for when you are broke down on the road or when your life may be in danger. A few questions. Why do you need an MV? Are you on solid roads of off road? Are you using a tanker trailer for the water?

    Gen 2 Bulb

Here is a Delco Remy Service Bulletin for the 27SI type 100 alternator. While it isn't the "isolated ground" units we have on the CUCVs, they are very similar. I misspoke early and said it was the rectifier. It is actually the voltage regulator. On the "isolated ground" units it is indeed...

    M1008 Project!! Any advice?

Discuss the IP issue here or in the other thread, not both. It wastes people's time as we have no idea what is being discussed. You may want to keep all your discussions here so everyone will know what the status is and not duplicate their help.
