Oh I love it. Very sharp look.

    Aluminum wheels

Agreed !!!! Although I'd destroy all that shiny paint just driving past the trees on my street (and more so in the brush). I'm even giving the CARC a run for it's money with scrapes and cuts. Heh But yeah, this is one of my favorite builds of them all !

Need crash course in M1078 LMTV

Grab a plastic tarp if you are going to drive it home. Because if you end up under the truck for some reason it will always be: In mud In fire ants In a puddle In gravel In some sort of (please let it be animal) poo In snow In ice *28 hours broken down during a a recovery in below freezing...

Need crash course in M1078 LMTV

Charge each 12v battery independently (no need to disconnect anything). If even one won't hold 12v, they often won't crank. If at least two are holding, you can do a fast field mod to convert to dual bats opposed to quad (see image). And if you plan of driving it home, you may consider...

    10' Cabover camper on a M1078

And a 12' squad will of course work as well. Ambo boxes can be had for around $1500 if you hunt around. Here is one done that retained the cargo bed.

    10' Cabover camper on a M1078

Another option that is quite affordable is a retired ambo box. A 14' squad box can be made to fit quite nicely with very little overhang:

OK, rough check with a tape is 7.6' x 12'

    10' Cabover camper on a M1078

Van body interior is roughly 7x12 (I don't recall the exact specs offhand)

    10' Cabover camper on a M1078

Yeah a cab-over camper really isn't really viable on a cab-over cab. I'd look to another platform or another box.

7 Pin Trailer Wiring Connector - No Reverse Lights?

I actually am going to wire a strobe and alarm on my M1082. I forget which wire I was going to jump (maybe it was the center-most). But I have multiple options given that I'm ditching all the blackout stuff.

Perhaps something on the wiki will point you in the right direction. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_of_Medium_Tactical_Vehicles
  15. Third From Texas

    Original LMTV contract.

Might look to the wiki. There were a lot of very "official looking" links iirc. And they discuss contracts and dates.
