Just pull the 24v stuff off the new engine and reinstall all the 12v stuff off the old engine. I agree with Recovry, ditch the C-code intake and use the J-code.
Recovry, did you notice the Model number? It is a CV10516 and not the CD10516 of the orginal CUCVs? The V model of trucks started in...
Same reason we scrap HMMWVs. Because we can. ;-)
Word is that a few have made it out, Similar to how a few HWWMVs made it out.

There where a few Gov blazers in 1988. While they where not true CUCVs they where painted green and had the 24v inverters. We have discussed them a few times. I'll see if I can find an old thread.
The 24v inverter was only used for the military radios. Otherwise they where just stock trucks.
Help me understand. This is LofA's truck that your are fixing for him? Did he have someone install the 700r4 for him previously?
I do not know any of the history of the truck but whoever installed the 700 had no clue on what they where doing.
The parts manual has all the bulbs listed.
Your memory is slipping. All the cluster bulbs are 168s. Only the GEN2 and speedo bulbs are 194s. Do not use LEDs for the GEN lights.
And most of them get closed because of all the BS that is posted. What works in one state does not always work in others.
As with all the insurance threads, with CDL questions consult your local Highway Partol or licensing departments.
