    Has anybody seen this ?

Pretty sure the OP truck is simply an M939 with an old Skookum bus body slapped on top. Never seen that one before, though.

You may like this one, as well. Not military, but along these lines. https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/international-3800-adventure-bus-build.219248/

Diesel tank vent..... where should it go?

If you are worried about debris, there are all sorts of tiny K&N breather filters on Amazon for $10.

Coiled wire and dongle in battery box

We really need to come up with a better back story for the use of that gizmo. ;)

Alternate sounds coming through the air brake buzzer on my M1081.

Troop truck? Did it have a cab buzzer in the back? I've see the wiring left where guys ripped out the bed switch and left the wire to short out (which results in a different tone).

Just another alternator charging, battery thread - help for new owners?

Yeah, enjoy that part while it's fresh. After the 200,000th time you say "no, it's not a Unimog" it starts to get a bit old. Now when people ask where I got it I just say "You know that National Guard post over on Weber and Mc Ardle? Those guys never lock their gates"

Amazon also has piles of Pulsetech products (as well as eBay). Keep in mind, these only maintain good charges, they won't keep up with a serious drain. Pay attention to "output wattage" (more is better with solar). And a lot of brands "pulse" (I think Noco does as well as several other "smart...

    Decontamination circuit

And if I recall, there are only two wires used so a connection is a connection is a connection. You could use something like this or simply delete the disconnect all together and hard-wire the beacon/lightbar permanently. If push comes to shove, just find any cannon connector set and replace...

Source for LMTV CBs and relays.

You can find them at a NAPA or even on Amazon. A lot of folks ditch the CB's and run standard blade fuses (the type that light up are popular).

Check Engine Light M1083 C7 Cat

I've pondered trying one of these: https://www.obd2tool.com/goods-2484-CAT-Caterpillar-ET-Wireless-Diagnostic-Adapter.html

This is the fellow who had been offering copies of the A1 TM. About a year later, he uploaded it to the web for free, but I don't see his post regarding that. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/m1078a1-10-technical-manual.182290/ And I wonder if our fuzzy little kitchen appliance ever got...

Anyone have a pict of the back side of the air tanks?

A1R: The Vast Mystery So many little things are *close* to older trucks, but not always what they appear to be. It's a LOT of trial and error... LOL

But kick that little sucker up every night and you will hear it pop the disconnect relay at the batteries. It's too big a file, if I recall. It was scanned and linked to a Google d/l site. It wasn't in the regular TM area here on S...I don't think (I'll check).

Finally, my M1083A1 is at it's new home...

Yep There is a later version of the TM that covers the A1 trucks (A1R trucks are kinda screwed as their TM is still under "double secret Army stuff not used in 10 years but it still can't be released to us commie socialist scum" ). It covers up to the late model A1's so you should be fine with...
