Anytime you are lifting a load you've got to remember that if your winch fails, GRAVITY IS THE LAW and WILL hurt someone or something.
NICE !
I have grown to appreciate BALL VALVES over the traditional screw/washer type, especially in situations where rust or other deposits could build up and hinder function or performance.
Compared to the "scale" of the grasses in the background, I kinda think that first pic is a RC MODEL airplane. Are you sure it's an actual aircraft???
Many aircraft have "skid rails" in their lower structures for protection in the event of ground contact. I don't think that FUEL PODS have...
I hear that Christmas song....
"...Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Differentials tracking up the snow!
Yule tide MVs resting cold and alone,
while owners post to forums, OH!...."
Ah, but will Mexico pay for it?
Cute idea. I wonder if the Weather Channel would support it or protest...
I am surprised that no one has specifically shouted:

You are new to the truck and haven't even read the operator's manuals !!!
By asking the question, it is rather obvious that thus far you are ill-prepared to function as an 18-year old, 120 pound G.I. in your Uncle Sam's...

Since then it's just been a continuing gathering of evidence.
This most recent piece - the official...
1. WHO is your VFD's SAFETY OFFICER?
2. Are you protected from reprisal by WHISTLE BLOWER LAWS in your State?
3. Check the INSURANCE ID CARD in the glove box. The Insurance Carrier might also be interested in this UNSAFE CONDITION.
NOTE: There ARE consequences. Your choice.
It's not the fall that kills you. It's that sudden stop at the bottom that'll get you every time.
Yes, as DH said, GRAVITY...... (and I'll add) It's the LAW OF GRAVITY.
"I fought the LAW and the LAW won....
I fought the LAW and the LAW won."
I'm glad you didn't report and broken bones...
Unless your Deuce is a later model USAF Contract Built M35A2C it has ONLY Single-Circuit air over hydraulic brakes. In other words, any seal, line, or other failure could and would readily result in ZERO brake pedal effect upon rolling momentum.
THIS IS VERY BAD.
Hence, although not very...
