Any interest on a deep dive into Cat C12 oil systems? Specifically into Oil Pressure?

the 400's were the monster of their day .. drove a 1990 western star for a couple days with a NTC400 turned up to 425 horse, ya couldn't load it enough to kill it on hills.. But then again, the gearing had it maxed out at 55mph .. Rode so rough i was glad when I got my regular truck back

you didn't say what your oil pressure readings are in relation to rpm and engine temp .. perhaps you could document them over a period of operational days and see if there's a consistent pattern or not .. i don't have any military trucks newer than 1970's but i have heavy-hauled commercial 800+...

that's about right for a multifuel .. when "my" NG armor BN with the 86th BDE did its regulated convoy moves to Ft Drum it was an uphill climb all the way from the Champlain valley.. There was always a mandatory fuel laager at Mount VanHoevenburg just short of Lake Placid, which was roughly a...

okay , one last long-lost pic from 1999 or so , M880 "dump" truck ! This was a 1950's-60s Converto dump insert typically used with Willys pickup trucks .. It was powered by a dual-action hand pump of the large snowplow variety .. Sold the Willys long ago and about 5 years ago the Converto...

    Curious old M49 fuel truck

Just a note that the pics Valley Rock might be posting for you of his stainless tanks are inapplicable to the gasser 1951-1963 three-compartment steel tanked M49C you wish to model , as the early steel tanks are very different from the later stainless or aluminum tanks .. At quick glance they...
