    Christmas in March?

Since picking up my 5 ton, I've been scouring the net for odds and ends to get everything "right"... from dash light lens covers to other smaller items that just "nitpick" my brain... my girlfriend says between the boxes and envelopes, it's starting to look like Christmas at the house! When I...

    Odd tire failure

I meant a pic so I could see what type of valve stem you're dealing with, but ... ok..

    Odd tire failure

Is it the metal valve stem with the nut that secures it? Possibly the nut backed off and is allowing a leak. Tighten the nut. If its rubber, old valve stem, replace it. A pic would really help! Good luck!

    Seat covers

All- Just like the majority of our older seats, mine were in poor shape when I bought my truck. The passenger seat was faded from green to blue and ripped and the driver seat was... abused.... no big deal to me. I am using State Farm for my insurance and it was recommended by my agent that...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Troubleshot smoking my battery (it was ganchy corroded connectors) changed them out, checked out my voltage draw, turns out my battery kill switch doesn't work, installed a heavy equipment battery interrupt to kill the batteries and took a paint chip into Lowes to have them match paint so I can...

    It's the small things...

When I bought my 5 ton, Doug (Trailboss) was really awesome about going over the "small" things that could give me trouble during my day to day loving of the truck. One of the things he mentioned while we had the hood up and was going over different items was the emergency shutoff solenoid. He...

    Smoking a battery

By "that battery" I'm assuming you mean at the dogbone. There is nothing but the doggone attached.
