True...maybe I should trade my pants for a tacti-kilt or something. I'm so used to the stock height that that last step keeps catching me by surprise when I'm stepping off the truck and end up going further than I expect.
Go here to CARNAC's thread and download the appropriate PDF so see the manufacture year for your serial number.

Congratulations on getting your new truck and good job doing all the homework leading up to picking one out! That truck looks like it's in good shape and pretty complete.
Are those 16.00R20s? Could you have been seeing 51 mph on the speedo but doing more like 60? Just curious about actual...
8" and counting as I write this on April 14th! The truck is sitting under a walnut tree so it's not as deep there. This is strange weather even for central Washington and I had just unlocked my hubs and put the snow scrapers away...
Cool! That's my '75 Highboy that I've had since I was 17 and I love that truck! They're bad-ass. That truck's been getting jealous of all the TLC that the 5 ton has been getting the last few years and it's time to show it some love.
Well I did this today on my fuel pump...wasn't a good feeling when it gave way. I'm thinking I'll shave the nub down flush and tap it for a male to male pipe nipple. Typically I prefer female nipples, but this has a decent chance of fixing it.
Sorry to leave you behind with stock tires, but I am keeping my stock rims and tires just in case I get the itch to go back to duals with 12.00R20 tires when I'm older. I would have loved to go with 14.00-20 bridge truck NDTs and duals if width weren't a concern...
So far, and I've only driven it 6 miles, I haven't noticed any loss of power feeling but I do have to use the brake pedal harder when coming to a stop. I'll be logging more miles on it soon and will report back.
I was more than happy to let the forklift do all the heavy lifting and handling 😁
That was a good solid 7 hours of work with 2 guys plus set up and cleanup but it went smooth without any problems. I ended up with 2-piece HEMTTs on the front, 5-ton super singles on the rear, plus another...
It's been a long time working up to them but I finally got these monster AT3As mounted on the MV of the year! Luckily I bought the whole package right after Christmas before tire prices went crazy and I've been slowly working on them since January 28...
I chased every thread on all 7 rims by...
I think the hub-piloted version has the same 11.25" bolt circle, but I don't plan on selling the prototypes because I still have tests and demos to run with them. I can work up another batch as soon as I'm done with some other projects im on right now.
I'll send you a PM
