that actually is the mark of the spring on the oil ring, it was destroyed as well and stuck on top and one side.
originally an exhaust/escape valve broke and caused all the damages..
a exhaust or escape valve stem broke and the valve head destroyed the piston. part of the stem punctured he head.
checking now what would be the best route of action, a friend of a friend is removing a 6.5 turbo freshly rebuilt to install a cummings, will check price with him.
it could be a valve stuck with something and it hit the piston something i noticed when i removed the lifters on the driver side is that none of them had pressure on it while when i removed the passenger side definitely was pressure in a couple of them.
well, surgery started today at around 2:00 Pm and i have already passenger side head out and driver side everything but the head, head coming out tomorrow. worth to note, all cylinders were full of antifreeze. will report back tomorrow.

Yes, only difference i bought it at the autoparts and this one does not have the little aluminum thing to block the water however the intake is sealed in that section. No water should be coming in from there.

I am not trying to hijack this thread, but trying to find out if they sell longer hoses to move the inside unit a little far back? I have a 2-man truck and converting to 4-man truck.
