I posted to a thread in conversations and it wont let me edit to correct. At the bottom of that page it says "You may not edit your posts". I go to other pages such as this one it says You may edit your posts. What am I missing?
Same deal and situation in New York, no such law. Though I had ripped a perfectly good pair of pants at a convenience store when a customer decided to back his truck in by the entry door blocking 1/2 the sidewalk. I muttered couple of off colored words and said they should have a law like that.
I mounted a 1/4" round shim/spacer on the radiator support cover wear the hood spring makes contact. It tightens the hood spring when closed and it pops up allot easier now.

I did the heat gun method to bring back the color. left a nice low luster dark color and smoothed out the scratches. No coating required afterwards but may help keep the color for the long haul
I replaced mine in 2011 and used black urethane windshield caulk. I had to leave it uninstalled overnight for the caulk to cure. Just fill the channel with the caulk and slip the glass in. After it cures you trim the excess with a razor and your good to go. And don't forget to wear rubber gloves...

As cjtroutt said, a MX-6707 works fine. I had to shorten the length of my antenna by 8"-10" and nailed the SWR on my Cobra. I also get great radio skip on partly sunny days.
