Looking at a newer model 5 ton with with automatic trans . I’m not familiar with these . Is transfer case separate like older ones ? Can this truck be towed without hurting trans if transfer case is in neutral ?
The 1969 setup has a weird big in one end and smaller on one end hose setup $96 snd bunch of other rubber boots $80 worth . And my big metal air filter housing has rotted latches $40 each . I have a parts truck m35 with fairly new rubber boots on its whole intake system .
Hi . Has anyone swapped over the air intake system from the old
M51 trucks to the later m35 setup mounted to firewall under hood ? Is there any reason not to ?
Did you get your title fixed ? I was one of the guys who fought to get this bill passed . The Offroad title will convert just like normal title . There is a form you sign and get notarized stating you will keep minimum safety devices . Seatbelts .
All I’m asking is if anyone knows the original size and thread pitch of stock m51 wheel studs . With this info I can figure out what special lug nuts I need to get . Guess I will take a lug nut off and check it with tap to figure out
rims has been replaced but studs appears to be original that’s why I’m asking for original stud size and pitch . Cause front original nuts are not correct for my wheels . It’s because of the stud aligned verses hub alignment. They installed hub centered front wheels and the holes are to big for...
My truck has had wheel replaced with around style rims . I’m trying to figure out the wheel stub sizes and thread pitch . And is front studs same size as rear ? I know we have left hand and right hand threads correct ?
There are two wires on generator. One large one and one small one . Truck not running large one has 24 volts . Running it has 27 volts . Did not check small one .
So not getting charging at batteries. I have 27.58 at post on back of generator . So tracing wire it goes into harness and looks like maybe into a silver box on for wall ? Looks like the smaller wire from 24 side of batteries might go into that box as well ? Hard to tell they all wrapped up in...
Thanks for info . Brakes have a brake line broke I have to fix today . And so from there on what else on brake system I need to do . A unexpected fuel return line broke yesterday evening due to rust . Truck is rusty . I need to change the like from tank to filters now as preventive maintence .
Guess title says it all . This old truck had been sitting for few months but previous owner was using it some . Don’t think he ever drained the petcock on bottom of tank just one they rigged up on front side which is mid way . So I keep draining and draining and keep getting back oily moisture...
I have painted equipment using rustoleum and I used tractor supply brand equipment paint hardner in the rustoleum. Makes it dry faster and harder . Used acetone to thin it for spraying
So cab and doors are same . Wonder why fenders and front sheetmetal different ? Is frame longer in front ? Are the multi fuel engines and radiators same ?
Was about to order one of these and add my back drive on it but a local guy finally got back with me and he has one off a 5 ton dump . I’ll let y’all know if he comes thru . Thanks
Someone found it on Facebook out of Michigan . Was in a barn for many years . Guy said his dad had bought it and drove it how like 40 miles like 20 plus years ago at least . Lol
