With the front axle being air engaged hopefully nothing has been damaged. If he put the t-case in neutral that would be another layer of comfort but I doubt that happened. All in all nothing you can do beyond pure speculation for 8 weeks until you can get eyes on it. I bet it's either fine or...
It's all good. It needs a lot of work and may end up being cannibalized to install on a better truck. I've only drained 5 gallons of water from the block and tried to turn her over a little so far. She is just in queue until her number gets called.
I saw a lot of those setups at Hood including a few drone launcher units with Raytheon logo remains on the side panels. I'm leaning more and more SF as tacky as sounds to me.
I've been watching the HMMWV auctions close for anomalies and gabbed this unique "M1097R2" recently. CTIS, winch, pintle extension, and more. I've had a few AD friends look at it but so far no cohesive conclusion on what role or loadout it had while in service. ADA launcher, satellite erection...
I watched it and bid it up. I strongly hint a big surplus dealer got it and it will soon have some fresh paint and more digits on the price tag..
Agreed. It helps that we don't carry around all the armor package weight and etc too. I have several hundred of the MT/Rs on rim dated 2016/2017 that are NOS. About half have never seen the ground until I rolled them around for inspection. I'm not afraid to use them and tire on rim with run flat...
If the block is full of coolant you can run it for a few minutes at idle as the block and coolant can soak up the initial heat. If you're just trying to get it up the hill 200 yards it wont hurt it but keep time and throttle to a minimum of course. I'd keep the belt on and toss in cheap fluid to...
Hard to say on that one. I have one R1 in that serial range that has 68,xxx miles on it but who's to say that's not original miles before reset or even the original gauge.
I saw a LDS-2 in a can, yes NOS in a can, on facebook from another steelsoldier member last summer. He stripped it down to put in his deuce and I bought all the M656/M757 specific accessories. I know rare stuff pops up time to time but it's possible.. :naner:
I have a M757 with the LDS-2 in it. The TMs for the truck aren't too enlightening on the engine itself but it's rated for 210 hp. Some documents say 215 hp so it is in that area. It does have a larger turbo and I'm sure the pump is tuned differently. I can't say if it shares pistons with the -1A...
Fastest EUC in the west.. 1 minute. I did submit it the day prior so I wouldn't be surprised if the system updates daily and it was both submitted and approved the day before so it looks like this. Pure SWAG - scientific wild ass guess.
